Anonymous, 24 May 2018How is the camera performance? Is it that bad? I've been using it for three months so far, and I have to say it's decent at best. Other flagship's camera is way better, but if you still want a better photo, install gcam.

I have had this phone for several months now, the bluetooth has never connected to the car which is extremely disappointing and the picture quality is poor and grainy. I would not recommend this phone.

I have a headphone jack issue. The headphone does not seat properly, and is very easy to pull out 1mm or 2mm. This causes the controls not to work on the headphones but the sound is no problem. I think it's a design issue as I have tried different earphones. Very frustrating as I go to gym with the phone in my pocket and every time i want to set volume the headset has pulled out 1mm or 2mm.

Is this a design/hardware fault with the outer body?

              Maybe Nokia can elaborate?

can someone please tell me how to transfer apps from device to sd card of nokia 8...
                thanks

AnonD-275867, 11 Feb 2018Hello guys! Anyone can talk more about this device ? I had this phone since february and it has performed very well. Am geeting full day battery on heavy use including around 2hours of hotspot. Since i work in the field most of the day display is really bright even under the sun. I thought the thick bezels top and bottom would be an issue at first but now i realized they give a better ergonomics than bezeless displays. Charging is really fast at 50% in around 30mins.

They mentioned the camera was great and now the exact opposite. I was really confused with the long term review bcos it can't get that bad right? Plus it has better benchmark results than the s8! Maybe the oreo update messed it up???

I had this phone since october. i bought it because i nokia has a reputation for being durable, which this phone is not. my last phone was a nokia n8, which i had since 2010

the lcd broke last january. it was in my front pocket, maybe it bent a little when i bent down, or maybe it got squished a little when i sat down. but the phone was physically fine. the exterior was pristine, no marks, the glass was intact, but the lcd had lines and the display was messed up and unreadable. i couldnt even put in my pin to unlock it after i restarted it. brought it to nokia care and they fixed it for free.

besides that i really hate that it doesnt support miracast. it wont project to my home tv

When you criticise the screen size, I'd like to stress that you solely speak for yourself.

Also I said Sony's image processing is now bad, and that brands that use Sony camera modules take better photos than Sony, I don't know about third camera apps results on Sony, I know what they do on my Galaxy, but there was Camera Pro for Symbian (and some others) which added some controls that stock camera software didn't provide and had some more tweaking abilities. So, this goes for Nokia too.
As for history, the K750 was a legend with its 2 megapixels, K800 was as good as N73 and both were better than D900, but this is simply not how you talk to people. I admit that Sony had some good cameras, but you refuse to admit that Nokia had good cameras. Ego maniac or a brand fanatic? Nice photos from the Elm, let me quote GSMArena Elm review: "The amount of resolved detail is excellent, comparable to the best in the class – Sony Ericsson C901 and the Nokia 6700 classic."

A safe move is exactly what Nokia should do for the first months - people don't have the Apple fan-like mentality of simply handing out money toget whatever they make.
Nevertheless, it's the right choice. If they tried to go full-out the first time, it most likely would result in a worse device.

MdN8, 05 Feb 2018Here, I did some work for you: Nokia N8 vs Xperia S: http... moreYou don't understand one thing. Sony models had manual controls by third camera apps. Its manual controls were absolutely much better than any Nokia at its sensor size (808 is the only exception). What you show there is only what you had as results by stock cameras (and non-camera Sony models like Walkman ones). But the hardware on Sony was and still is: mind blowing. Sony had better results than Nokia until N8 at stock cameras and even at much smaller sized sensors. Even with that I had Sony Xperia with amazing results that Nokia only had with 808 despite its size.
Remeber its Sony Greenheart. A Sony - ISX006 sensor did what no other did at that time, see for yourself:

Sadly but still Nokia=Placeb, 8 is the latest proof.

mmm...that old locomotive reminds me of such a great company CFR...I bet that the trains were moving faster using that locomotive then compared with the trash that they are using now...mmm CFR ..perfect recipe for the crappiest management one can have in a country!

anyway...abut the pictures quality...it is quite sad to realise that my zefone 3 takes better photos than the Nokia 8 in certain circumstances.
