Samsung Galaxy Note9 review

20 August 2018
How time has passed - we're at nine now. Seven years after the original, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 stands before us. The numbers don't add up, no, because Samsung chose to skip the 6, and it didn't really quite work out splendidly with the Note7. But that's all in the past and we're looking ahead.

Loved you review. I have (gulp) a Galaxy S5. The camera is a 16MP so I was wondering why the step backwards to a 12MP? I now the pixels are bigger so the dynamic range is better but there is less detail on the note 9 vs the s5, perhaps the s5 is just special?

These review is made with a Exynos or Snapdragon version of Note 9?

                          Dear Samsung,

We purchased this phone without knowing of Bixby dedicated (Extra) Button and your Bixby stuff. Bixby is not in a mature at this stage, especially for India English. I don't know how dare Samsung forcefully trying to push us to use this immatured Bixby.

This button /feature is uncomfortable due to the Accidental pressing of this dedicated Bixby button. Accidentally pressings due to the location of the button. it quite opposite side of power/lock button.

I am begging Samsung to give the option to disable it if the customer doesn't want to use it. Alternatively, please suggest any app to disable this feature, I will ready to pay you!! In previous versions of Note, there is a provision to disable..

First of all, Voice based commanding/assistant systems introduced to operate the phone without touch the phone. Why should we have the extra button to activate such Voice assistant.

                          Pros:
                          1. Its one of good product in all aspects
                          2. Met our expectation
                          3. Bluetooth based S Pen

                          Cons:
                          1. Price is high
                          2. Samsung forcefully pushing us to use BIXBY. Sadly, no option to disable the Bixby button.

Bought it couple of weeks ago, amazing phone, flawless performance so far. Only concern is the front facing camera sucks in low light. it is due to samsung camera software. Note9 has got the best hardware just need to improve on post image processing like google pixel.
The battery is unbelievable, I am a heavy user and I am astonished at its longevity.
                            my rating: 9/10

Really GSMARENA? your “cons” thing you posted about this were not pretty much that big deal, specially your last 2 points “you ,can, have too many features” and about your “cases” complains, request or whatsoever. Please we need more review about its cons.

Photos taken on this phone still look like the old Samsung artificial plastic look, especially HDR images when zoomed in. Horrid
