Samsung Galaxy Watch review

10 September 2018
With its new Galaxy Watch, Samsung has combined design cues and durability from its Gear S3 and Gear Sport smartwatches while appealing to an even wider audience by making it available in two sizes and three colors. It's also embodied with new health, fitness and smartwatch capabilities. Is this enough to make it the Samsung’s most appealing smartwatch offering yet?

It should be noted. And this is a very valid point, which prompted me to return the Samsung Smartwatch..

Basically, Samsung health has adds! This is how Samsung developed, you purchase a AU$450 watch and the primary app has in add offers!

2nd the wear app, the Samsung connector require all these conditions to be met if you do not allow all 7 the wear will not connect. They are: FULL ACCESS TO: call logs, call history, contacts, SMS, storage, photos, calendar.

Cannot turn off and simply use GPS and toggle music as the above condition of not allowing something as mundane as call logs, the phone stops syncing and access to the wear APK if prohibited..

    Rubbish watch!

Swimming in the dead sea or any salt water is not what is certified for waterproof. also you need to rinse it with fresh water after using a pool too. you can't just swim and go, 5 times then problem occurred is penalty for not rinsing.

The watch supposed to be waterproof, but somehow my watch stopped working after i went swimming with it. I've send it to the local service (in Israel) ,later I've received the cost for changing the main board, and the back cover, because corrosion...?! How come there is corrosion inside the watch, if its waterproof? When I My watch never failed, or been damaged. I was swimming with the watch, never diving... I decided not to repair the watch for a cost of 60% its original price, and buy a new watch from another firm.
Its very disappointing to buy a "sport" watch (expensive one) and to get a quality of a cheep Chinese watch... Never again Samsung products!

Purchased a Galaxy 46” just before the iOS recent update and ever since the functionality is terrible.

If you are an iPhone person I would sadly stay away from this watch and their tech support teams are awful.

Save your money and avoid the frustration.

I just received a 42mm watch for my birthday 2 weeks ago. I had to return the watch because it would only last a few hours - got a replacement and now not even a full day. The only notification is text message and that's only 10 or so per day. What's the problem?

I don't know how you got 4 days and 5 hours of battery. It seems pretty impossible from my point of view. I just got a brand new Galaxy Watch and did the following settings:
                      Always On Display
                      Brightness: 50%
                      Notifications: On
                      Stress: Off
                      Heart rate: Frequent

With that, and very basic and I mean very basic incoming notifications and playing with the watch, I am at 2 days 10 hours at best...

Then my Garmin Phenix 3 - after 2 years of heavy use... still yields 10 days battery life.

I’m using it with an iPhone X and I don’t get calendar alerts when offline. As far as I can tell from Samsung forums, this works with an Android phone.

Is this a difference or am I doing something wrong?

You are going to shoot your foot off if you dont make it easier to loose the annoying GOOD NITE MODE notifications or any other similar notifications I can't permanently turn off from the notification itself...

Does the device break down into steam or hot water?

The watch doesn't record electrocardiogram (ECG), it would need at least 10 electrodes placed on one's chest and limbs to do that. It's just heart rate and oxygen saturation, I'm not sure about the latter though.
