Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M2) ZB631KL review

24 December 2018
The ZenFone Max Pro M1 was a sleeper hit for ASUS. The ZenFone Max Pro M2 aims to build on that success. The new phone brings with it a more modern design, faster processor and improved cameras while maintaining things like the stock Android UI and massive battery that made the original so popular.

InternetUser, 28 Dec 2018It looks like Redmi Note 6 Pro is only option in this price... moreOn old budget Asus phones, this could be disabled by adding a shortcut to an app called "qc adaptive display" on the desktop using Nova launcher or a third party app.
The shortcut enabled access to the adaptive display settings.

It looks like Redmi Note 6 Pro is only option in this price range with 4000+ mAh battery which can disable dynamic contrast. Right?

GSMARENA conludes that "the ZenFone Max Pro M2 still one of the top contenders in its price range", especially if it has NFC.

Do not buy a ZenFone. Poor reliability, poor build quality and appalling after sales support. Buy anything but not a ZenFone.

Anonymous, 25 Dec 2018Still microUSB? Why are these OEMs so allergic to USB-C?To keep the costs low while attracting people who want big endurance for battery life.

The battery test and camera samples are the only useful things in a review, the rest is just more or less filler, so this review is half useless. No, in fact camera samples can be found fairly easily on the internet, so it's 99% useless. The battery test is the only thing for which I come here to check specs of phones 90% of the time and 10% is when I come for camera samples or camera comparison tool. A lot of people are just like me, so don't ever do this again if you don't want to become irrelevant overnight.

As many others have complained about this, please don't ever do this review format ever again. The readers have spoken; we absolutely detest this review format, especially since we were wondering if the endurance rating would break a record!
