What you believe that Motorola is? A Chinese company owned by Lenovo that still maintain some based US offices! And yes like any chinese phone imported pay taxes and custom in every country. Less if you has luck and your packet avoid it when inspected. So the profits go to China. Not sure what Google matters, you look like a weathervane, you point to where the wind blows.

Ayva, 11 Feb 2019You are living in a dream world pal.You are probably living in a Xiaomi dream that will end soon. What starts fast, ends fast. I've tried more phones than you can imagine pal, I'm C.E.O of a smartphone repair business and we repair Xiaomi's all the time. There's no Xiaomi in that price range that can offer such a good smartphone experience performance + software + durability wise. Not to mention the malware that MIUI might have under the hood to steal all your info and sell it to third parties.
Why is there no Android Enterprise Xiaomi recommended phone? All Motorola smartphones starting from the G6 are included in that list by Google.

Stock Ma... moreMotorola's been here for 90 years. Xiaomi around 10. Motorola's way more experienced in the durable and all around good smartphone department.They also belonged to Google and took the pure Android way with useful features that Xiaomi can only dream of.
Motorola's split into 3 departments + they belong to Lenovo, a bigger brand. If you put all those together they are waaaaayyy more than Xiaomi.
Only Lenovo + Motorola = a lot more than Xiaomi.
The new Razr and Z4 Force are going to be a hit and will put everything from any manufacturer to dust/shame.

Aloof, 10 Feb 2019Comparing specs by specs, sure. But some youtube channels h... moreM series is J series replacement. While it'll have some upgrade compared to the old J, the camera quality will be set below A series. 13mp with 1.9 aperture is the old J series recipe.
It's not a bad camera but compared to Redmi Note 5 ai/6 and its current peers, it's several step behind.

We have been asking Lenovo for long years the succesors of the Lenovo Zuk Z1, Z2 and Z2 Pro. Phones that the community acclaimed for their performance/price and with a big ammount of fans working in custom ROMs. And finally, when they do it releasing the Z5, Z5 Pro and Z5 Pro GT series, we can't buy them because, thanks to Lenovorola, they are not making them Globally available or, at least, releasing a Global version of them that we can import. Instead of that they pretend that we buy these overpriced and not desirable phones that are not what we were asking for. In Europe, they had a lot of fans too of those Zuk Z series from Lenovo.
So is more than understable the rage of those fans who have been waiting so long (years!!!) to be able to buy their successors and be able to use them and experiment with them with new ROMs, a good performance/price, and why not the Lenovo quality, not the Mororola old design and low specifications for the price they are asking for. And even, hypothetically, with the best components, These and other Motorola phones would still not be what we asked for.
Release global versions of the Z5, Z5 Pro and Z5 Pro GT Lenovo!

And have several of them. They don't develop the OS. The amount of memory is small in two models for its price, the seconary camera useless in all models. The display has low resolution y two of them. And you call that premium and quality? Ha ha ha...
If i'm paying a premium price inside any category, i want premium specifications. And these phones are not premium, only in price. The best model G7 Plus that is a decent phone is a one year old phone in reality. And can't compete with others more modern and better for its price today.
A majority here enter because they like the technology and can't be fooled anymore due to wave the flag of the quality brand... That is for sheeps and fool people. What matters is what the phone have inside. In general, the shiny crystal only serves to cover with a case due to be fragile and avoid waste money each time you hit it by accident. That in the background is another strategy to make money with you, because they do not have wireless charge, instead of using a good metal as a cover.
What a coincidence you name Nokia. Well, both, if they do not modify their strategy, they will follow the path of HTC and they will go directly to the bottom of the well sooner or later. Quality words.... are not quality componentes. And the cost of a aluminum frame and a thin crystal cover don't justity the price when they only tweak a UI skin.

Motorola definitely has a better build quality and UI, so comparing this with Poco f1 dosen't make sense,its made of plastic and it runs a custom UI and the Poco f2 will start at a higher price and it will keep on increasing, they will follow the Oneplus strategy because Xiaomi badly wants to get a hold the flagship segment and their mix series doesn't quite cut it outside china
Motorola's biggest competition in 2019 will come from Nokia
