Samsung Galaxy S10e review

19 March 2019
The Samsung Galaxy S10e is like a breath of fresh air in a world of behemoth smartphones with enormous displays. To be honest, we didn’t expect Samsung or any other manufacturer for that matter to release a compact flagship. Especially since even Sony dropped their compact lineup. But here it is - a small flagship phone for a little less than you’d expect from a normal flagship these days.

"Expect less than stellar photos when using the ultra-wide lens, though. Most the lack of autofocus, OIS and narrow f/2.2 opening really did a number on our sample shots"
Theoretically that's nonsense when looking at the exif data. The ultra wide angle camera chooses 1/10s whereas the main camera chooses 1/33s , therefore both cameras capture about the same amount of light (I assumed that the ultra wide angle camera has a 12mm² sensor, it's maybe even a 16mm² sensor). Of course when you compare the same objects, the ultra wide angle camera captures less details of a certain distant object because the wide angle camera is like a tele camera compared with the ultra wide angle camera.

Think jerryrigeverything found out side mounted fingerprint scannees are a weakness to the structure so maybe samsung consideres bending resistanxe over ergonomics (shame they should be using stainless steel alreast though it would be heavy for a compact phone)

I like this phone, but compared to the S7,it has a larger battery, a "more modern and power efficient chipset", lower resolution, exact same dimensions and mass, but still basically same battery life? Those new processors not so efficient after all??

I'd hardly call the images 'stellar' more like pixelated plastic look as usual with Sammy. Over rated

I like that video thumbnail!! Samurai jack!! Love it!! :)
