They are pretty amazing for a midrange device. Screen is seriously good for the price range, proper quality lcd implementation. Screen is actually where budgets brands fail most of the time.
Yes Xperia 10 doesn't do it all but few things it does it does really good. Within a quarter price will drop below 300 and plus model will be around 380 which is a fair pricing for what you get.

I expected this to be terrible. Improving the screen(I am not even sure.) isn't enough. This lacks SO many things. Good specs, battery, camera, screen(yes, the thing they were trying to improve), etc... Sony is going the wrong direction, and, it's pricing is pretty bad, when you compare it to the VAST competition. This thing just got MURDERED. Hopefully, Sony actually thinks about their next phones precisely, or their smartphone career is doomed.

Y probably know already, expensive flagship phones sales are decreasing. And more affordable midrange phones sales are increasing.
Competitors are busy implementing more features (and better designs) to their midrange segments. But sony is still concentrating on their expensive flagship, and ignoring their midranges.
2019 will be a dark year again for sonymobile.

Why no camera button? Even the Xperia 1 has got one. Especially on such a long phone, with the loudness buttons in the middle, you can't even use them...

Weird design, especially that huge top bezel. The design looks ugly overall.
Sony have to find and employ better designers immediately.

Many ppl r criticizing about battery capacity. But as a avid Sony phone user, I know Sony's battery management is Superb. Even a 2600 mah battery gives u a decent day long back up.
But Here I jus want to know, will this phone be available in Indian Market...? And when...?

really sony do u really think now people will buy this 3 years old design. what are you thinking? comparing it with 8x which is really good phone buy glass looks, small natch design, screen, size with good night mode and AI camera and memory with the price tag under 200 usd. think again

I'm a long of various Sony flagship user, now switch to Mate 20. Its dissapointed to see Sony nowadays, while Xperia 1 seems promising, letdown by small 3300mah battery. Looks like they recycle it from bad sales of XZ3.
And about the built quality of the 10 duo, its true, squeaky here & there, u can search on youtube as well. I'm still a Sony fan to say the least, even put Xperia 1 theme on my Mate 20. Take a look - http://imgur.com/gallery/oBR5B75
But as of now, there are no reason for me to going back to them, as Huawei/Honor offer better for the price.

Shui8, 23 Mar 2019Tell me which part of rear design of 8x that same with othe... moreSquirky? Nothing creaks nor cracks when you hold it or squeeze it, it's a freakin unibody solid build. Yes buttons don't travel deep but it's a design decision, I personally don't like that.
Honor 8X is a great phone too, my friend has one as dd but I can tell you right now that frame chips and scuffs very easy cause the paint job is either too thin or not protected properly or metal alloy is too soft.
Either way I'm not saying one is better than the other cause I haven't used them as my main phones nor did I have them side by side. To me they both just seem like regular affordable phones where each has something that does better than the other.

At least it looks way better than bland elongated rear on Xperia 10 design. 8x built quality are great for a mid range device, have u hold Xperia 10 in real life? I have, feels so plasticky and squirky when pressing on edge of the phone. And that power & volume button? Worse decision ever made, feels too shallow & cheap. Try it for yourself.
Tell me again, which part of specs that Xperia 10 is better than Honor 8x?

Honor 8x are the better buy in a lot of aspects... moreWhat design? 8X looks like any other Chinese OEM phone and if you didn't know it was Honor you would have a hard time guessing which phone it is. And it's also made of lackluster glass and cheap metal materials. The screen is also very, very average. It's a good phone but it's not all that even compared to Xperia 10 or 10 Plus

Guess what? Honor 8x are the better buy in a lot of aspects. Now the price has been reduce to 185 EUR / $210.
Kirin 710 - equivalent to SD660.
Camera - almost same quality, but got Night Mode.
128 gb memory, 4gb ram with microSD slot.
3750mah battery.
Headphone jack.
Way better design.
Redmi Note 7 also really hard to beat.

Even cheaper non tall phone can put bigger battery than this overpriced phone.
