All these years people got use to compare a p... moreAll camera software issue phones OEM’s fixing through software update/security patches in case of iPhone and security patches/update in case of galaxy/note. Nothing special all phone camera this days can shoot good low light pictures ends of the day all about camera optimization, camera software and last and not least camera hardware.

Anonymous, 10 Jun 2019Not bad, but there’s light overblown and pixel 3xl photos d... moreDon’t worry I have many photo editing software on my Desktop...so, I will easily fix highlight clipping but noise reduction is very hard task with out effecting details...so, I think noise reduction is a very difficult task with our erases details....so, Sony Xperia 1 is better than Google Pixel 3

Anonymous, 10 Jun 2019Too high for a phone with many flaws or just because it was... moreSony Xperia 1 = no headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a weak and small battery, no IR blaster, no wireless charging, no Wi-Fi 6, slower charging speeds and so forth.
Objectively looking, those are bigger flaws than not having a microSD slot and no stereo speakers. And you can't compare a 420 euro phone to a 950 euro one. Yes, Mi 9 does have flaws because of which I would not buy it but it's a way better value than this.
Sony did do some amazing stuff with this phone but, once again, there are way better values than this.

All these years people got use to compare a photo of Xperia iso800 against other phones using iso 200, 250. Instead to check how would other phones perform at same iso people just assumed it was poor software. They ignore that in situation that force high iso, phones like Galaxy and iphone photos are doomed , not edition can save.
Even GSMA admitted that at similar settings XZ Premium was much better than G6 or S8.
Previous xperia just need ped to be set lower ISO to do better that Samsung and Apple.
I have an old one , photos at different iso levels are totally different. At iso50 the shutter sometimes went 1s.

Compared to S10 plus lowlight and iPhone XS Max both camera doesn’t has light overblown, but a tad of oily and noise especially iPhone, S10 plus tad of less details.

Mi9 = no SD slot, no IP rating, no stereo speakers, only 1080p 8 bit 60Hz, no OIS , no GG6 on both sides, no wifi 802.11ax, no USB 3.1, no AF for UWA , fake 960fps, poor audio recording and no 4K HDR video ...... Got 4.4
Sorry, they could measure delta of basic mode but not from the most accurate? They always were able to.

The problem I see is:
Let's say a photo taken by XZ2 has X % of the frame in focus. Xperia 1 photos seem to have 0.3X % in focus. Not sure this happens because the f1.6 and small sensor.
Look at the snail photo. On the right side the castle has blue parts full of details, but look out of focus like a macro shot.
