Is it you Pro, 22 Jun 2019When someone say the Samsung S10+ and Huawei P30 Pro HDR is... moreI won't believe it until I get all three above mentioned phones and do comparison by myself. I remember had S9+, Mate 20 Pro and Pixel 2 few month ago. Enabling HDR on both Mate 20 Pro and Galaxy S9+ didn't make any difference whatsoever. Pixel's HDR (even the very first one) is superior to anything else without questions and someones "scientific" reviews. I doubt that the latest Huawei and Xperia have made such a leap and outranked Google in HDR quality. They were never good at it. So this is just not possible, sorry.

The s10 crushed the x 1 in HDR and more natural detail.
And because of the HDR in some cases some of the colors.
The x 1 shots were vastly more over sharpened.
The only advantage was when lighting was right the colors were a little less contrasty.
And the same exact story carried over into the wide angle.
The s10 produced objectively better images in most ways with the Xperia basically doing a little better in some cases with a little less saturation and pleasing those who don't care or can't tell the difference between fine detail and super sharpening.

It was forget behind in HDR of photos and videos.
It was worst in stabilization. It's white balance in most cases was too warm.
And shocking.... was third in the bunch in low light.

I guess the pot calling the kettle black. Hilarious.

Spoiler alert: Xperia 1 crushes s10+ in camera. Just look at the samples next to each other. I don't know how you even started with this, Xperia 1's camera is picking far more details than s10+ in every photo in the video.

Also if you think the same (without even having touch the phone) just because he is not liking the phone, you are not credible either.
Next time you have the audacity to claim something about a phone, make sure you used it first.

VectorR, 22 Jun 2019"expensive textures form Sony, "plastic" look from others??... moreWhen someone say the Samsung S10+ and Huawei P30 Pro HDR is better, please watch the comparison: The Xperia One capture the 2 folded Sun Shade Umbrellas (Dark maroon color) with more COLOR more DETAIL more GRADIENT than the P30Pro and S10+. The P30 Pro capture the sky with less Gradient means the HDR fail to bring more details and the 2 Sun Shade Umbrella is darker/dull means the HDR fail again!! The S10+ capture the 2 Sun Shade Umbrellas with less Gradient and less details too although it color is very pop out. So Xperia One has the best HDR out there!!!!!

Just take a good look at Mate 20 Pro vs Pixel 3 vs Galaxy S9+ pictures on a high quality 24"-27" IPS monitor as I did. The difference in photo quality is obvious in favor of Pixel 3. Also zoom in a bit. Again, Pixel's amount of details is insane. Can't see any over-sharpening at all. I'm not a Pixel fan by the way.

My opinion and experience coincides with his on 99%. Also I can "read" this person by looking at his eyes, mimics, speech etc. It's more than enough for me. I owe him a big mug of beer - I was about to order Xperia 1 (just for camera sake only) :). Another good example of trustful source of information - xda-developers forums. Just look at highly acclaimed OnePlus 7 Pro photo quality branch over there. I was really shocked too.

Open your eyes and look at real Xperia 1 photo samples properly (not these questionable wedding shots taken maybe in Italy at ideal soft light conditions). Photo samples coming from real Xperia 1 owners aren't so good and promising at all. Not using advantages of 48MP sensor and pixel binning technology is a big mistake Sony have made. They thought that they can do magic like Google but obviously that's not the case.

About the battery, no. It could be better, but they refuse to. No two words about it. U cant just agree whenever there are weaknesses dont u? Otherwise they will be no 'improving' word created.

The dude says the photos aren't good because they appear natural without too much saturation. How can anyone take him seriously when he says that?!

Well you have issues. Bt2020 is the top in absolute natural display. It just can't get any better than that.
It's battery life is an achievement considering it pushes much more pixels than all other phones in the world. So you have no argument here.

Xperia 1'... moreHonestly, after switch to Huawei, all my previous Xperia feels 'cheaper' eventhough it has the higher price lol.
And yes, Xperia 1 finally made my eyes open again for Sony, especially its screen. But its camera only excellent in daylights, average low lights & 4k video bad stability (looks like the EIS & OIS confused with each other lol).
The battery, no. Others has it so much better, along with Supercharge & wirelessly. Xperia 1 can beat them, but they refuse to do so, for the sake of cost saving.

Current Xperia 1 camera is the worst ever released on $1000 smartphone. It is even not in the line with cheap $200 Chinese phone. My old Galaxy S5 makes much better shots! Just watch a review from reputable unbiased reviewer and stop arguing (see link below). No respect to Sony for what they've done at all! They just stepped in the same sh*** once again.
