I don't want to use a phone which has copycat design. P30 camera is top class, not like xperia 5's average camera. I'll just buy redmi note 7 if I can endure an average camera.

This experience like a peninsula (notch) almost the part of main land (bezel). Designer know that but never let you know! (the simple logic)

I wi... moreYou have to use both handed most of the time (has been forced without any alerts) to control the phone like 190g weight, I am using right now, it is heavier than my expectation. This is the disadvantage of 10g increased weight. We can't have it all.

I wi... moreA 10g added would change your habit, you will easy rely the both hand to using the big phone with bigger battery. I have 190g big phone I know the fact. If you hands can always stick on the phone and your eye keep watching it as and habit, then that's your habit.

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2019P30 is a better phone in every aspect.No even close. I have watch both introduction, X5 easy attract my vision. The P30 back cover is copy from pixel the but when match with the color looks stale /old fashioned, it is better choose the origin design from the Pixel than P30.
When look at the Xperia 5 it is simply gorgeous you will remember it character, it definitely stand out from crowd! Match up with the original back cover it looks even more attractive, it does have a sense of "Gundam suite" but not fancy like a toys! This is my suggestion I am glad they perfectly bring to the table. Most of the phone design just copy or direct use some movie themes, they don't know what is unique and character.

P.S. only d*mb people think that fast charging kills battery.

Despite having a smaller battery than the Xperia 1, its screen at 1080p and 449 ppi is more than good enough for me.
Now waiting for the official price of the Xperia 5.

We can't have it all, either you get bigger battery the weight gain the charging time longer or run faster charging get battery degrade faster...either get slightly bezel-less view experience but ruin by the notch or you can hide the notch to get back the bezel otherwise get a elevator front camera without notch but you will lost the waterproof and have more complex/bulky modules in the phone. Slim bezel is fine not fancy, fancy isn't gorgeous just like most of the people hide the notch because they hate notch especially typing in night the screen-light will pop up the notch quite annoying, unless you have been forced to use dark mode.
