@gsmarena: You really should check the price comparison again. The 9 lite is definitely sold for a lower price than it's siblings... You just can't compare list prices with market prices.

I think whole 'verdict' part is subjective and everyone should make own verdict. Same as mentioned here, I got complete different prices (RN8P NOT 60 cheaper but same, 9T waaay pricier), never seen XT around, notch isn't con but pro for someone etc. And there IS a gap for this model. Then price and all affects rating which should be somewhat higher.
      (almost same A50,
      exclude brand and compare)

Phone got good build, display and takes good shots BUT I see major cons as only 1080p EIS isn't too usable and sound (afaik wired HD) should be little better. (Any opinions about sound quality from users here?)

Overall not bad and depends on one's price situation. Pity video & sound not just little better, degrades phone a little from being optimal middle class.

Anonymous, 12 Oct 2019Which store? Eglobal.. they even sell with EU warranty. As far as I can see they have really good prices on many Xiaomi phones. Taxes and shipping are included, and its mostly global models/roms.

If the low end budget can be stretched just a little, this is the new budget king !

In Kazakhstan Mi 9 Lite is 40 USD cheaper than Mi 9t, and 150 USD cheaper than Mi 9. And it had micro SD card, which other lack.

microSD slot, IR blaster, 4000mAh, FM radio, 3.5 mm headphone ...
Everything above in one phone deserves 5 stars in my opinion. That's why I bought one, to replace the great Note 5.

Been using CC9 Meitu for few weeks, agreed with other comment that says this is actual Note 7 Pro, It has everything SD 710+FM radio+IR Blaster+SD card reader+big battery plus OLED+NFC+UFS storage. Meitu edition has Meitu logo instead of Xiaomi at the back, but the lettering isn't at same place, so if you use case sometimes it doesn't align. 8GB/256GB means I won't be upgrading this for few years

For non gamer user (not considering SOC) like me, this phone is incredible:
                              Metal frame
                              Glass front and back
                              Oled disp
                              Fingerscan under disp
                              Headphonejack
Larger screen than mi 9 se
                              Hybrid sdcard
                              IR blaster
                              NFC
Larger battery capacity than mi 9 se

I think there's no such phone in this price with those rich feature cmiiw..

The phone itself is great but the high price is a problem. Redmi note 8 pro is very similar with much lower price, for the price of mi 9 lite people will go for k20 pro/mi 9t pro instead. I used all mi9t, mi 9t pro and redmi note 8 pro and i must say RN8 pro is very impressive at its price, mi9tp is only better at the screen (no notch) and snap 855 (more future proof). If you want best price per performance phone, go for the RN8 pro.

I think this review is extremely unfair considering this mid-ranger has almost everything you could want in a modern phone. The cons section of the review feels like the author nit-picking an looking for something, anything to write. IMO this would be a 4.5/5

This phone is in fact a pro version of Mi a3 (mi cc9e ) with exactly the same set of cameras , the same sensor and lens. BUT the studio photos and video of Mi a3 are a little sharper with less noise !

Not a very fair review . It deserves at least a 4 score. The reviewer couldn't find even one major problem to write in the cons section . Regarding the price , it is much cheaper than MI 9 and Mi 9 T and even Note 8 pro in many countries. It is a perfect mid ranger.
