The battery life and display brightness are simply pathetic for 2019 flagship smartphone, and if you think about it, iPhone 11 is better than this phone in almost every way and still costs less. Go back to the drawing board Google, or stick to software development if you can't help but ridiculing your customers by releasing half baked products like this.

Pixel 3a did its job impressing people on the mid-range side.
For me, I think they should stick to low to mid smartphone division or better, just pure software where they Excel the most.

Most overrated phone is pixel. Google took that crown from Apple. Only camera is their strength but Samsung, Apple, 1+ does much same with their flagship. Very minor difference and doesn't add huge benefit.

With Pixel 4, it seems they should stop making phones and should concentrate on software sides. And simultaneously they should encourage Android One program across the segments of mid and premium segments. Makers like Sony, Nokia, Xiaomi , Samsung and Motorola (Lenovo) have good offers across low,mid and premium segments. Partnering with them would be a great deal.
Nexus was a different story back then. Pixel 3a is promising, but don't know how far will it go.
Apple is sole player in iOS,hence can command and demand as per their terms. But with Android, having so many OEM, it's difficult to have that control.

No, thanks.
The removal of the fingerprint scanner is a big deal because I usually use it for my Chase app to log-in and my Private Notepad. I just don't trust anything with face detection. Just more Google spying it seems.

Dual exposure should get more credit than it is been given. For those who know about it (which isn't that much of a big thing to learn), it's a revolutionary feature and will be incredibly useful

OK GOOGLE Lol the MAIN reason I chose not to go with a Pixel 4 is the sucko battery in Pixels As I was writing this I received a low battery warning on my Pixel 2 which made me laugh out loud in irony. Not to mention the piss poor USB-C battery charge port which is so sloppy I have to charge my phone upside down in the car if I want the able to stay connected
So if you're reading this Google know that it's over between us and I'm seeing a sexy new OnePlus 7t who I met on Black Friday

I like little smaller devices so I was interesting in Pixel 4. But Googles distribution is very limited and its not officially sold in Sweden. Some dealers got it but very expensive.
Or I could import from Germany.
So I end up with Sony Xperia 5 or Samsung Galaxy S10e. (They had huge Black Friday deals here). I bought a Samsung Galaxy S10e.
So far im happy with it.

Worst phone of the year so far. Realme X2 Pro just slices this phone into pieces.
At least Pixel 3a was their saving grace.

Looks like it throttle... moreChinese/Taiwanese OEMs also beat it more badly with more aggressive pricing, maybe only lacking one or 2 aspects but shines in other ones.
Iphone 11 is strangely also cheaper (ignoring Black Friday discount as not all countries have them). It has a more potent chipset and battery life at the expense of 60Hz LCD screen.

People hate skinned android, like miui, colorOS etc and yet the phones which have "ugly" skin like those still perform much faster with better battery than google stupid phone with stock.
Imagine google uses skin android, 5x slower ? Pathetic stock lovers

Switched to iPhone 11pro and this phone crushes the pixel in each and every way. Cellular issues gone and I am excellent battery results. No more battery anxiety and dropped calls and 3G service

This must be a strategic decision. Surely a janitor at Google must be aware that the Pixels have always been terrible. So, Google must be doing this on purpose.
"Dear OEMs. Being at the forefront of Android, we have to put out some hardware as a showcase for the software. But don't worry. We'll make it so terrible and price it so high, it won't dent your sales. Great working with you all."
I do wish they stop bothering, though. Also wish more OEMs made 5.7-inch phones.
