I thnk GSMArena get lots of pressure from SONY and LG, that's why you see this report here, anyway, in many ways I think G600 still better than K850 or LG, including the value and the picture quality!

who cares about a camera on a phone ??????????
its never going to be better than a proper camera !
since when did a phones camera become the most important thing on it ?
surely its the overall experience
i had an N95 8gb and i thought the camera quality was very good but took too long to start up and zoom etc
but very rarely used it anyway so i sold it and bought an iphone
and im so impressed with it especially as its the 1st generation iphone.

@vanboy
If Nokia removes WI-FI, GPS, good music player, Symbian OS, HSPDA, 8GB memory, 3.5mm headphone jack, big screen etc from N95 8GB and adds better image processing algorithm than it will replace your stand alone digital camera and don't u know that CANON's high end D-SLR uses EOS CMOS sensor instead of CCD also may be u r memory is quite we x ek as you don't remeber that N95 was announced almost 2 years ago.

When doing camera reviews, can you post the revision of the firmware used? That makes a big difference these days.

@Cosmin,
yap i do respect your opinion about having all those different devices.But i have put up an comparison fnr the calculation of how much money would someone need if they want those stand alone devices against an multimedia phone.Here it goes:
1.A sony cybershot 5mega pixel cam=9000 tk.
2.An ipod touch 8gb=36000 tk.
3.A pda = 20000 tk.
4.A gps device= 7000 tk.
5.A dvd quality camcorder atleast =8000 tk.
They will cost = 80000 tk or more but i bought my N82 for 39000 tk which does all the above at the half price.
I again say that i respect your thoughts too but in my eyes this is not just practical for me to pay as much and to move around with a bulky weight on my shoulders with those standalone devices.

@Bob
N82 does pack many features in a smaller package than N95 8GB. However, you seems to ignored that N95 8GB has giant screen, longer battery life and has music keys. If you really want to count all the minor stuffs too, N82 is lacking PEN key (it's buggy at the moment with N82's editing) and lack of infrared port. Don't forget, N95 8GB has better speakers too.
Better camera, yes. Smaller package, yes, everything is smaller... :-)

I think gsmarena should compare these 5 phones with 903SH which is more than 2 years old. Then Nokia, LG, and Samsung will wake up and realize how far behind they are in camera phones.
N82 is the better phone right now in the 5 MP camera phones market.

Seems pretty dumb to use the N95 when even before the article begins GSMA acknowledges the N82 has a better flash. And, as pointed out, it may have better ISO. So it should have been an N82 in the mix instead of N95. 82 has all the same stuff as 95 in a smaller package with a better camera.
N82 is the best all around SMARTPHONE and CAMERAPHONE right now.

I don't quite agree with Cosmin because the reason why phones nowadays are made as multi-media devices is because there are too many media devices in the market today for a person to be carrying around everyday. If you were to split the N95 for example, you'll need to carry a GPS, a PDA, a camera, a mp3 player and a normal mobile phone (and these are just broad categories of what N95 is capable of) everyday wherever you go as compared to the N95 device itself. Just carrying all these weight of devices without adding the consideration of the hassle of taking care/maintenance of all these individual devices is enough to put alot of people off.
Yeah, not everyone needs all the devices but if you look at the people within the target market of these multimedia phones, I believe they do and they'll appreciate it and naturally, will seek for improvements if not evolutions of these phones. We know what technology is capable of so why settle for mediocrecy.
So telling someone (someone within the target market of these phones - whom actually have all the relevance in giving feedback to improve the phone's value added features) to 'just go get a standalone digital camera, or a mp3 player, or a video recorder' isn't very practical is it?
So people, stop advising us to get all those standalone devices because unless it has the same practicality, I don't see how it'd help. My two cents.

err...ahh... you claim that the DIVX format used by the Viewty is a "more advanced" format? grumblegrumblegrumble - h.264 is significantly more advanced.
http://www.compression.ru/video/codec_comparison/subjective_codecs_comparison_en.html
the above link is to a subjective comparison between divx, x264, wmv and xvid. 50 experts conclude significant improvement in observed and measured quality of x264 over divx. both of these formats were, however, the favored of the 4 tested.
the viewty may have some interesting 120fps stuff going on, and h264, like divx, can used used well or poorly. i dont mean to claim that the n95 is better at recording video, but rather that your comparison between the video formats is, well, poor.
perhaps you only meant to compare the viewty to the formats of the other 2 phones? i dont know what they use...

All i can say is just give K850 a firmware update and all this will change...
I agree nokia did win this comparison...but just take a look at prev blinded mobile phone test here in gsmarena and K850 came last and now probably second...how will you say that jump? That why i am saying just give K850 another firmy update.. Just like k750 in 2MP dept and k800 in 3.2 MP dept..
K850 will win 5 MP dept also...period!

cosmin does make a good point, but adding onto what anti-pv9 said. a lot of users these days like the all-in-one type of devices. and since phones r the most all-in-one devices on the market now, most ppl tend to settle for getting more expensive phones, that's why the iphone is such a success, not only b/c of its touchscreen capabilities, but also b/c it's a multi-media device.
im sure more ppl would consider an mp3 player or camera w/ built in phone functionality, if given the option ;) but by then, u will have to decide whether u want a better mp3 player or camera, and sacrifice the phone quality, or vice versa
