I Used this mobile more than 3 months.so here is my opinion.camara is not tha grate because IOS is not available.but it will can compare to Samsung s8.battery life is excellent.sound however not that grate.same gose to the display due to low dip (395).colour looks like washed up.finger print speed is very fast. For design I'll give 9/10.

      From the article
"Alas, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is probably the last of its kind - the last upper mid-ranger from the Chinese company that stuck with 60Hz"

Well that's wrong. The Note 9 Pro is 60hz too

[deleted post]If you're on a low income, it may not be a cheap phone. It may be the best phone you can afford. It is good to know that even with a midrange phone, you're getting a device that has roughly 75-85% of the features in a flagship phone but at a quarter of the price.

For us that have had low budget phones for as long as we know and are trying to explore new horizons with the Mid-range note 8 pro, this review is kind of unfair to us. I am trying to adjust the adjectives at each point to fit our context. For example, when you say it's ultrawide camera is bad at night, I assume that it is with respect to the Flagship series that you've reviewed before and that compared to a low budget phone should just be OK.

Cyberchum, 21 Mar 2020There's absolutely no reason why they should have included ... moreAnd the app continuously crashes on my RN8P!

IF you are concerned about my old reply regarding why Xiaomi's being "forced", I did addressed that by using the term "restrictions" instead of being "forced" on my next comment. IF you are to butt-in on a conversation thread that has already been established, kindly consider the whole conversation instead of just one reply.

jhp2025, 22 Mar 2020IMHO, this is the one with the closest features of the top ... moreSame here👍

jhp2025, 22 Mar 2020IMHO, this is the one with the closest features of the top ... moreMake sure you buy the Global variant. Global has NFC, Indian has no NFC but has dedicated microSD card slot.

IMHO, this is the one with the closest features of the top or high range phone available on the market ever, at least for the time being. I'm buying it as a replacement for my old Lenovo Vibe K4 Note, because I need its NFC too for my daily activities. It's a quality price product though. Worth to have it then buying such Samsung one as overpriced products.

BlackHatORG, 21 Mar 2020Weird, I have call recorder on my Xiaomi mi Max 3 MIUI11Old phones retains that feature even on successive updates. Only the newly-released phones were affected.

I own this device since December, it's a great device, I play pubg, asphalt 9 and cod, I listen to spotify over Bluetooth in the car, I take pictures (great quality) and videos... etc the device is great! better than what I expected for 187euros in Greece at the time. I previously owned the s7>redminote4>miA2, at first the transition was weird to me because of the ui and the thickness but now I'm used to it. 3 months now pretty satisfied with my purchase.

Anonymous, 21 Mar 2020No one is forcing xiaomi to use google. They are trying to ... moreLol, that's the opposite of what Xiaomi's wanting to achieve with MIUI. This is MIUI not Android One. The only way that Xiaomi does not use their old Messaging and Dial apps were due to restrictions and patches made by Google to Android. Remember that call recording was never intended by Google to be done in the past, in fact, these call recording apps were utilizing Android exploits just to record calls. Haven't you noticed that as soon as Android starts to bake their own native call recording app, all other apps that does the same starts to break? Google's now patching the exploits, they're creating a new native way for proper recording but this part wasn't finalized yet.

I'm using Redmi Note 8 Pro and I can say that this is the best midrange phone of 2019!
