There is a big disturbing problem with this phone. When the bluetooth is on the Wifi is getting extremely slow. I am very much disappointed that I can't use a wireless bluetooth headset.

M.fahim, 21 Mar 2020i got one , but unfortunately it doesn't support call recor... moreGoogle is limiting call recording as of now especially in Android 10. New phones from Xiaomi shows that they don't support call recording anymore since they are now forced to use Google's apps (call recording is only available on Xiaomi's own apps) for whatever unknown reason. (((Big brain time))) Maybe... just maybe... they have permission/licensing conflict with Google. Don't expect call recording to be included on all NEW Xiaomi phones.

Help please! When using stock launcher the icons disappear and I can't open the app menu unless rebooting the phone and even then they just disappear and I can't open any apps unless recent ones from the gesture menu. Phone is updated completely and I had to change launchers, but the MIUI is the best :(. Please help!

I'm using RN8Pro for few months already. Last month it got updated to Android 10 (MIUI Global 11.0.2.0 QGGEUXM) in Bulgaria. After the upgrade I can confirm not a single "stutter", just the opposite - the interface feels even smoother. I can also confirm that on top right corner it says 4G+, although I don't have another phone currently to compare if it gains any performance advantage.

One of the best phones I've ever owned. Pluses: Great pics and videos, expandable storage, earphone plug. Con: No Android 10 upgrade in Hong Kong yet! Come on Xiaomi I feel like an abused orphan!

Good job GAMArena! Now this helped me fixed my eyes on redmi Note 9 Pro Max for upgrade.
We are also interested in Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite long term review since this phone is similarly priced as the RN8P but bearing opposite characteristics(ex. helio vs snapdragon; LCD vs AMOLED; Samsung vs Sony cam sensors, Plastic vs Metal frames, etc.)
Thanks and God bless.

I love this review. 4G+/CA is kinda important to me and it's good to see a review that also emphasize on that particular features. Varying standards of 4G+ implementation means that buying a phone purposely for this feature can be a hit and miss. I hope gsmarena.com will continue to provide this kind of info on all of its future reviews. Believe me it will help us a lot whenever we want to decide on our next phone.
Thanks.

I sidegraded from the Mi9t to the RN8 Pro and I'm so glad that I did. Instantly I had an LCD screen with beautiful, natural colours rather than the blown-out, cartoony reds and oranges from the amoled panel. I also suddenly had far superior battery life a d a phone that had a pleasant heft to it.
My unit is blazing fast at all times and it's a shame that the reviewer found some lag. I also find the speaker more than loud enough with decent sonic integrity at high volumes.
My only slight gripe with the phone is that the wide angle lens struggles if the light isn't perfect but I'm still hoping this will get addressed in a software update as I'm still on Android Pie, global.
For £168, this phone was an absolute steal and the Mediatek processor is blazing fast and sips power. The fact that it has water resistance too at this price point is an absolute winner.
Looking forward to the Redmi Note 10 with 5g and 90hz so won't be upgrading to the 9.
Cheers
