Anonymous, 16 May 2020Adreno GPUs would tear this thing to shreds. Any 600 series... moreI never argue about CPU performance because what you say is pretty much the fact.
GPU performance on the other hand is the other way around. The fact that Mali-G76 MC4 tops out Adreno 618's score by around 10k in Antutu is more than just a sugarcoat. Again, CPU performance doesn't tell the whole story in mobile gaming as proven by SD 710 which performs better in this regard compared to SD 675 despite Antutu scores between those two.
If I am wrong then I've been watching/reading bogus reviews the whole time then.

Im a little bit confused, here in the Philippines
Realme 6i's price is about 160 US$ for its 3/64 variant, 200 US$ for its 4/128 in that price range i think it deserves a little bit appreciation for being bang for the buck phone

NotAnonymous, 13 May 2020realme C3, 6i and 6 are proof that the current G series SoC... moreAdreno GPUs would tear this thing to shreds. Any 600 series GPU is like gold compared to Mediatek, don't sugarcoat it. Doesn't even compare to midrange Snapdragon chipsets because of the fab process. 12nm is essentially a brick in 2020.
In terms of CPU performance it goes like this:
1). A-series (Apple)
2). Snapdragon 800 series
3). Snapdragon 700/Exynos 900/Kirin 900 Series
4). Snapdragon 675
5). Pretty much any Mediatek processor
Mediatek is purely a budget end CPU maker, and that's okay. Those are the facts. Argue with your nan.

Anonymous, 11 May 2020720p screen and that g80 is a joke at 12k in india just sta... morerealme C3, 6i and 6 are proof that the current G series SoCs from Mediatek can at least match the power efficiency offered by Exynos and Snapdragon rivals despite using older 12nm process. Mediatek being a 3rd choice SoC for smartphones is no longer the case thanks to the Mali GPU used in those now can give Adreno GPUs some competition.

In my opinion, price comparison between 6 and 6i forget one thing : storage capabilities!
For 199€ on 6i you've got 128Go
On 6, 128Go costs 269€.
As 6i has dedicated microSD slot, it's sad 64Go won't be available in Europe for maybe 169€...

4. Go for normal display mode which avoid high Contrast.
IPS Pros -
1. Set lower brightness or Automatic brightness to save more battery
2. Avoid high contrast modes for Display

AnonD-454049, 12 Apr 2020Where's audio quality test, gsmarena? Don't tell me that yo... moreYes, they have axed it, announced it too.
I don't know the exact reason, the reason they gave is that now headphones matter more and DAC's output is almost similar in each phone, which is wrong as I've seen, but there's no debate on it.
One reason MAY be that they're developing international review centers where all phones can be reviewed, but audio can't be reviewed or compared with older results from different centers. Just guessing.
Sadly, we'll never know. This audio quality is why I kept GSMArena on bookmark.
On asking, I got a comment reply from a staff person who said that we can start the test even later on.
To which I said that please start for those devices having 3.5mm jack at least. No reply yet.

AlienKiss, 13 Apr 2020He probably never used a smartphone with SUPER AMOLED befor... moreLCD and OLED has pros and cons. I have used Samsungs (with AMOLED display) and iPhones (with IPS LCD) and also tested Chinese phones.
Pros of LCD: No or very high PWM/flickering (less eyestrain), better color accuracy (if calibrated well, as there is generally less blue tint), less blue light (without fliter, and depends on calibration), less heating (more suitable for games), cheap, no screen burn-in
Cons of LCD: Lower brightness, less power-efficient (at same brightness), tends to reflect/dim when screen is tilted at an angle
Pros of OLED: Brighter, can be sharper than LCD (depending on resolution), more power-efficient, can be viewed at a certain angle without reflection/dimming
Cons of OLED: Low PWM (causes eyestrain unless calibrated properly), more blue light, potential blue tint on display (again, unless tuned), generates more heat, more expensive to fix, potential screen-burn in
So what? LCDs can be better than OLED. 1600p display in MacBooks are very good. OLEDs like Samsung S8/S9 and Redmi K20 gives off marks if left at maximum brightness.
What's ancient is your poor judgment about OLED and LCD displays.

Yoedi16, 13 Apr 2020Dark mode isnt actually work that well, mostly you will sta... moreTo get burnins on the latest AMOLED displays, you will need to set the brightness up to 100% (that will burn your eyes) and put the display under at least 30 degrees C in direct sunlight for HOURS!
I've been using my S8+ for 2 years now and I have absolutely no problem.
I have seen only one S8 with burnins, and it was the case of a guy who forgot his phone on the car dashboard, in direct sunlight, with the screen always on. And this happened for a full day, in the summer.
The problems you guys are desperately trying to find for AMOLED displays are simple excuses for the fact that you are not willing or you don't have the possibility to buy one.
Welcome to the present grandpas!
