Sony has definitely put more effort in both of them and we can see that. There are many videos on youtube from japanese proving that sound quality from Xperia 1 II is definitely better than iphone, samsung and pixels. However loudness of xperia 1 II is still lower than other 3. This shouldn't be a problem because X1 II soundwaves hits your face unlike other 3.
Apart from technical perspective, front facing speakers are more practical than down/side facing speakers. Especially while watching a video (hits your face with sound waves) and playing games (doesn't block any sound, so less chances of getting killed).
PS: Xperia 1 II is the only mobile to support 360 degree audio as well as only flagship to have headphones jack. Sony claims crosstalk has been reduced to 20dB, which it says is an "imperceptible" level. It's also more than 90 percent lower than through USB-C headphones. Someone here is arguing it is only 20% improvement lol.

See YT reviewers comment and actual video recorded sound and comparissons, as here the quality of sound stage is just vaugly mentioned. (And that enhanced 3.5 mm headphone sound quality, DSEE Ultimate or 3D Reality Audio not tested at all, which is a real shame for us semi audiophiles)
This phone has proper Sound stage: True front facing, enough separation due to height/landscape width of the phone, Dolby enhanced, properly separated, with very good volume level.
Didnt know about Oppo also having SDR to HDR video upscale. Nice of them to include.

Seriously? iPhone 11 uses IPS display and doesn't use PWM to adjust the brightness. So if you saw any flickers then that means it was a defective panel.
P.S. In case you meant for iPhone 11 Pro: Its display flickers at around 290Hz, which is considerably higher than Xperia 1's 245Hz hence should be less irritating to sensitive eyes (according to Notebookcheck). Either it was defective or simply you never used the device before and compared those phones side by side.

They are similar to LG's manual modes but focus more on professional users and less on amateur photo/videographers (Assuming that professional users who use smartphones for their jobs aren't non-existent in the first place).

Plus, Find X2 Pro can upscale a regular 30/60fps SDR video to 120Hz HDR using the dedicated processing chip baked onto the motherboard. Just saying.

I was just laughing out loud when somebody said Cinema Pro and Photo Pro are nothing but manual camera. Haha. And a fast charging is a battery care on steroids. Haha. Fast charging and battery don't go together. Excessive heat on battery degrades it faster.
On the other hand, find x2 has natural photo outputs, unlike iphone and galaxy which is quite saturated and contrasty which is of course, nice to post on social media. Others might refer to oppo's output as flat. It depends on how you want to see a photo.

Ugh. And even with bigger sensor sony still falling behind in hdr.
At least these last couple years they are trying to catch back up in camera. At least somewhat trying.

-500 plus ... moreUSB C audio? Have you had a chance to listen to something through dongles manufacturers give you or let you buy it for $20? It's an absolute disaster because no DAC can fit in such a small thing and expected to sound good. Proper USB-C DACs go for about $100 and they are another gadget you drag with yourself together with your phone. No big deal if you carry it only when listening to the music but in that case, I always pick a dedicated audio player. USB C headphones are active headphones and that's the whole other issue as well.
So if you can hear only 20% the difference between 3.5mm output and USB C cheap oh dongle I can hear 2000%. If you can't see above 500 dpi I can. Do I need more than 400 dpi? No... but I can see it. More importantly, I can see color, brightness, and contrast shifts on display and that makes me go crazy. iPhone 11 , Huawei P30 Pro, X2 Pro and Xperia 1 have the displays that shift the image the least. All others suck. iPhone 11 also flickers, I can see that too.
So there is that.

This is not constructive criticism.
No, Oppo Find X Pro is not objectively a better device, Well, Maybe subjectively it is to you, if you obviously care only for periscope camera, or faster fps screen ability.
It Lacks the jack, lacks the SD card, definitely lacks BatteryCare and front stereo speakers, video and audio quality upscaling, wireless charging, etc...just for starters
And it costs even more than Xperia in some regions.
If you dont value all those features lacking on it, go buy Oppo.
