Gilvanio, 31 May 2020my battery life is amazing. xperia 1 user. sorry.Sony Xperia 1 only got an endurance rating of 79hrs from GSMArena. I think that's poor or at best average.
I'd want at least 90hrs. Obviously if you are happy with it then I've got no problem with that. I said I was disappointed with battery capacity, especially given some of its rivals have bigger batteries with less power hungry displays too.

Anonymous2137, 30 May 2020Just tested your mcpro24fps app on my XZ1 which lacks 25fps... morelisten man, i do a videoblog with my XZ Premium which is no different from XZ1 except for the screen, and yes mcpro24fps complains there is no native support for 25fps, but it shoots 25fps in 4k with no framedrops.
on xperia 5 it shoots 10 bit video in log, and that's something that even filmic can't do.
and the video looks jerky because of exposure time; get yourself a variable ND filter and always shoot at 1/50s and you'll get the smoothness you're looking for.

Small battery expect less battery life, but my Sony XZ can last 5 hrs for light gaming, browsing on wifi.
Imagine having aged 2900mAh battery which is im sure not on 100% health can last 5hrs of SoT is terrible battery life?

Sony don't want to you test the battery life because they know it will be terrible. Battery is one the of things that always let's Sony down. They obviously know this so instead of trying to hide it why not just fix it?
This has got a 4k screen which is cool and pretty unique, but needs at least a 5,000mah battery.
Good phone overall imo, especially glad they actually listened to people and brought back jack. But battery is too small and the price is too high which are Sony's main two problems for years

why not get a pixel 4 for half a price and get longer updates?
smartphone prices are crazy this days. I'm glad I bought a phone that will last 3 years at least. For that price is just dumb not going for an iPhone that will last 5 years and have better value if you want to sell it latter.

The hate this device gets ... Mysteriously everyone became a tech specialist by googling stuff. The only drawback this phone has is the size, patiently waiting for a 15cm> model.

The low-light image quality in the Pro app seems to be worse than in the default app, no matter whether you use HDR or DRO. This makes settings like white balance nearly useless. I say it again and again. Smartphone manufacturers need to offer white balance settings in auto mode, if they can not provide the same image quality in manual mode. Google used to offer white balance settings in auto mode, but sadly Google's latest phones don't have white balance settings anymore.

Find x2 pro
- GFX 3.1 Car scene: 25fps (LOL, there are phones with SD855 with more performance)
- 4K@60 : only 50Mbps. Even sony midranges do more than 50 at 4K30.
- no 4K60 for ultra wide
- no 10 bit recording to watch on its own 8+2 bit screen
- photos look like wax
- no sd slot
- no qi charging
- no jack
- worst android UI
- bad updates
- audio test graphic shows even xperia 10 has better results
1200 euros + no gift
Considering this phone is just bad version of op8 pro + periscope, better buy op8 pro instead.
Anyway, the oppo boy here is happy. Let him think it was good choice, please.

Not every person is a fanboy for a certain brand, there a lot of people who just looking for the best value for money regardless the brand name.
When someone says he doesn't like Xperia 1 II , this does not necessarily mean he is a fanboy of apple , Samsung or any other companies.
The comment section, is for everyone, there were some brands that has been destroyed by their own fans, we all remember Nokia and how its fanboys were defending Symbian os.
Sony fanboys are following the steps of Nokia fans, by defending the wrong and odd choices of Sony.

Android Master, 30 May 2020No 4k in Netflix. Limited to 720p in Amazon prime. Limite... moreNo. All the gaming and 3D is in 4K. Every video you play locally is upscaled to 4K with HDR render. YouTube plays 4K on Xperia 1 just as fine so I'm sure it will play on mark II as well.
