the only downside for me is the lack of stereo speakers
everything else is fine
and maybe with the headphone jack at the bottom (but I don't have wired earphone anyway)

In India with that overly inflated price they will not be able to move a single unit. Sony knows that. That's why they left our country in 2018 with 0.01% market share. Frankly that number is a farce in marketing terms.

While Sony puts a Low end SD665 Which doesn't offer more performance than SD660 from 2016.

A one-year old Pixel 3a is 20% cheaper with a much superior chip and image quality. Not to mention all the new Oppo phones in the same price range. Sony offers what it does best, an underpreforming mediocer device with a good look(in plastic) at an unacceptable price. Solid review of this phone, take it!

What are you doing with the phone anyway, play football with it? In 10 years since I had smartphones, never I break one of them. And I had in the past, even some Chinese crap manufacturer without any Gorilla glass protection. If you take care of your phones, you don't need anything. If you don't take care of your phones, no Gorilla protection will save you.
IP protection. Again, in 10 years since I own smartphones, only once I needed an IP rating phone (when I was going rafting; and even then, I could easily had left my phone on the shore). Luckily for me, at that time I was having I believe some Sony Xperia Z1. So, once in 10 years and after more than 30 smartphones owned or reviewed. Not a very good percentage to actually be an important feature of a phone. Maybe, if you live in UK or Netherlands, but in normal countries, where it is raining rarely, you don't need IP rating on your phone. At least, not to pay extra for it.
Good OLED display. How can you tell is good, do you own the phone, did you compare it with other phones with OLED displays. Samsung A40 has OLED display and costs 200EUR. And by the way, is an above average OLED panel. So, also this fact is not an important example to pay extra money for.
What do you think is more important for people, Gorilla something protection or a good chipset? IP something protection or good performance of the phone correlated with a good price?
Seeing the sales of Sony phones year after year, I think you know the answer to these questions.

The 665 chip is kind of a dud but for future reference so are the 730 and 765. (Pixel 4A and Pixel 5?)

The phone looks awesome and i cant wait to get mine!
The rewiev is comparing this phone to +20% price competition and still gets rated as midcore. Laughable.
The Xperia 10II is arguably better than the IPhone SE 2020 and still get 0.5 points less in score.
Im looking foreward for other reviews that are not as biased as GSM.

Specs are not everything, is true. Still, this phone cost too much for what it offers and looking at the competition.
Probably it will sell minimum units, only to some stubborn fanboys, like always.

By the end of the summer this thing will be with the street price of $320 and dipping at $300 by the end of the fall. Current Xperia 10 Plus goes for $240 right now only after a year it's been released, same thing awaits Xperia 10 II
