SMIT, 21 Jul 2020Is it aluminium frame or just plastic in nord !? Please confirmaluminum - you can see plastic stripes in the frame. no stripes = plastic frame. Nord has no stripes in frame = is made from plastic.

Sorry, but this article is completely off on the OnePlus X.
It was half-baked at launch, with consistent crashes in basic applications, Google Keep being the most notorious one. The audio stack was buggy meaning that you could lose the internal microphone any time it was in use which mostly meant during a call, and had to power cycle to get it back. OnePlus didn’t deliver and stopped providing software updates just four months after release. It was completely abandoned by the 11 month period, which proved that OnePlus was not capable. I’m sure now that they sell high end phones their margins are better and they can roll out a decent phone, but OnePlus X was what sent a lot of us packing. The slogan we used at the time was Never Settle? Never Again.
TL;DR - OnePlus X was maybe the worst phone of the past half decade so color us skeptical that a midrange phone called Nord from a company that sits at 35 degrees North Latitude will be worth the price.

So apparently this class act of a "budget tier" is getting a limited run for US availability.
Get any other phone with decent software that costs far less than this and isn't a cheap social media clout generator.

Now: All waste !!!
OnePlus Nord having linear speaker instead of stereo.
No Telephoto lens.
No 3.5mm jack.
Aluminium Frame ??? I doubt.
No type-c adaptor.
Looks like dual camera is covering lots of space in front.
Still, I'll wait for the user reviews and expert analysis.

Worst viewing experience with that ugly front cam ....28k for a OnePlus phne with a low sd? We are getting 845 for that price !
