Yes i agree, Siqomi have really great budget phones, not only this one but also note 9, note 9s, or pro, even mi note 10 lite is under ,300 euros but, samsung is still no 1 with A 2020 series of phones (a51 is best seller).

            You can completely disable ads from xiaomi side. But, there will be ads in chrome and playstore where google pushes ads.

            Regarding privacy, miui 12 have the best privacy in the entire smartphone world.

                      I am happy that Xiaomi brought some midrange specs to their budget phones, like FHD+ display and 18watts charging. Some more expensive phones still use 720p screen.

                                    It's a great phone, the only downside I see is Redmi Note 9 series is priced to closely just a few more bucks and you get a much better phone
