imaginestigers, 21 Aug 2020This is the third post in a row you've made where it s... moreGSM arena states that the frame is stainless steel, and Jerry rig does not mention the frame as being aluminum, he only mentions "metal frame" which by the way he tried to bend the phone, and could not, it appears more to be steel than aluminum, if when he scratches the sides the metal shows, well, a steel painted or treated to appear colored, would indeed also look in the same way, if you have seen other of his videos, when he scratches aluminum frames, he always produce splinters of aluminum, which in the note 20 ultra test, do not appear

The phone price is really unjustified. Samsung is experimenting with user behaviour with such a high price. Although I can afford to buy it but I will never buy this phone. It's not value for the money.
Also, the specifications are designed in such a way which virtually forced you to go with Ultra model.

This is the third post in a row you've made where it says the frame is made of stainless steel. It isn't. It’s made of aluminium. My Note 20 Ultra is arriving today, so I'm excited about the phone, but IDK why you all keep saying it’s stainless steel when that isn't sourced from anywhere, and Zack from JerryRigEverything clearly shows that it’s aluminium

jtrogr, 21 Aug 2020The charging wattage depends on the battery type and size. ... moreThen, I will just replace the battery in two years. And no one force us to use a faster charger. Just buy a 5w charger if you think slow charger prolong the battery.

Anonymous, 20 Aug 2020Not worth upgrade from my NOTE 9. Still got the edge with:... moreThere's a rumour that Samsung is bringing back a headphone jack in future, so if that's what you need then Note 30 might be the phone to switch onto.

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2020Those are details, not noise. Check out Xperia 1 II and iPh... moreFair enough. But you seem to be overlooking the fact that there is actually more noise with less textures on Note 20 Ultra's sample when you look at other areas of the frame such as the colorchecker, the subway map, a strip of brown paper that holds color bands etc. Not to mention that P40 series uses heavy cropping & upscaling resulting in softened details (which I'm still struggling to understand why they even did so), therefore a slight loss of textures cannot be fully attributed to the noise reduction algorithms that Huawei uses.

Strawhat, 21 Aug 2020According to your logic, we just need a 5w charger. Why for... moreThe charging wattage depends on the battery type and size. Of course, you can use a bigger wattage with a bigger battery but why force it? You will save 10 minutes a day per charge for a loss of an hour or two overall longevity after a year. I had the note 10+ and it gets hot with the fast charging out of the box even if you don't use it while it's being charged, and yes, you can notice it degrade after some time. On iPhones, it's even more noticeable as you can read the value and the batteries are smaller. On my old XS, I used an iPad 12W charger all the time and the battery was 90% after 10 months. I talk from experience, not from reading articles and news. Bigger wattage and temperature destroys batteries faster and I will pick a slower charger any day.
What's the point of 15 minutes shorter charging if the battery will last an hour shorter after a few months? And yes, the manufacturers want your phone to get worse after time so you have to buy spare parts or get a new device.

No headphone jack no buy... (and please add a flat screen and Dual SIM with dedicated SD card slot)....
When sometime ago a Samsung guy told proudly that removal of the headphone jack allowed them to build in a 100 mAh larger battery and a stronger vibrator I was crying...

jtrogr, 20 Aug 2020Just google it, I am not here to lecture you.According to your logic, we just need a 5w charger. Why force 10w, 15w, 25w?
I am just asking if Samsung introduce a faster 25 w charger next year what is your excuse?

$1300/€1300 for a PHONE, it is the year 2020 not 1983 when "mobile" phones were extremely rare and therefore expensive!
I do not think I have ever been less impressed by any phone than I am by Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G!

so S20 shots look better. the note 20 shots seem a little over exposed and loses the clarity and details in comparison to S20.

Samsung never disappoints with its performance, especially the Galaxy series.

It is a mixed outcome but a bit of a letdown. Especially considering the Exynos version here in EMEA and the steep price. And then.. as the review says -
                                  - either full res or 120Hz
                                  - the camera setup - why single aperture, lack of AF on Wide? C'mon Samsung would that cost an extra dollar? This the flagship for all the $$$?
                                  - smaller battery than the S20 ultra - eh?
I am biased, yes, because I use Note 9. And that one still ticks all the boxes.. there is NO reason to let the N9 go, for this phone.
Mind you, if the regular Note20 proves to be what the early infos say (a Note for the poor, with just about every flagship feature trimmed), this will be even more absurd, and I don't follow Samsung's market strategy. And price won't justify that either.
Conclusion: Skip on this generation, if needed, N10+ is the sane option ATM.

Anonymous, 20 Aug 2020Not worth upgrade from my NOTE 9. Still got the edge with:... moreBetter fps is debatable. I think the under display setup is the way to go, forward and beyond. But agreed on iris scanner. Loved that.

But that 9ms latency is absolutely game breaking. Especially for someone like me who uses the s pen a lot.

Somehow I feel the quality degraded from the previous version and the cost is still very high.
