Poco phone would maybe good but does it have a gorilla glass back? I don't require a case with a gorilla glass back on my moto x4 (metal and glass phones are way to go)
Asus has a really good all around phone here with everything except headphone jack but it's ok

So, finally Asus add OIS to the flip cam... But at such price point, guess Asus has made up my mind of skipping it. Historically Asus phone pricing in Taiwan is more competitive vs rest of the world. Given the current exchange rate which makes the phone around US$ 900.... This phone is far from perfect for such price premium, given where Asus is on the phone market whether it reputation or its track record of phones.
- No headphone jack, Asus finally follow the mainstream and give up on their own root.
- No in-screen biometrics, sure it not perfect, but at such price point, I expect it!
- Only 90Hz, two gen behind competitor.
- Far inferior developer support...
Guess I'll indeed opt for OnePlus... Sad....

I like the uniqueness of the flip cam. Besides dongle is always there for the 3.5 mm jack so it's OK. And I have already proven the durability of Asus phones, I'm satisfied with it's toughness. I'm just hoping it'll be released globally.

Gorilla 3 rear panel.
1/4" "zoom" camera.
No 4K HDR video.
Non-pro has ddr4x ram (ddr5 starts at 8GB).
Flop .... Not even in Taiwan Asus sells well.

Why don't you do a comparison video of the photo sample from the camera of both pro and non pro version, especially on the OIS feature. Though you have mentioned that it is not a deal breaker, but the price difference between the two version is almost Rs 10000 to Rs 15000, in Indian currency.

"headphone jack has gone missing"
Should have started with this and saved us both some time. It's really sad to see everyone getting rid of 3.5mm headphone jack without adding a decent alternative (like, 2.5mm jack). Yeah, I know, they just want to jack up the prices (see what I did there?) for their "accessories" like wireless buds. But the audio quality goes down significantly, price goes up, most don't last 8 hour working day (plus 1-3h commute for those who still visit the office) so in the end all I get is a downgrade of sound quality combined with a price increase without a significant reason (because apple can get away with it, probably). It'd be another thing if wireless headphones could provide 12+ hour playback at the same level of quality as Ultimate Ears Triple Fi Pro 10 (discontinued since Logitech purchased UE) or, at least, Shure SE215 at a similar price point - same plus $30-50 for convenience.
Before that happens I'll stick to my old SGS7 or something LG-made (their top models have jacks) just for pure convenience.

Fearghast, 26 Aug 2020TBH my previous phone had Qi charging, I have a Qi charger ... moreI use Qi charging since my LG G3 ... So it's been some years now and it's just so convienent to let charge it slowly. When I need a boost I plug the cable, but it's not often :)

There were solid leaks that regular 6gb ram 128gb storage variant will start from 499 euro.
This is the real flagship killer, phone of the year :)
