This quote 'the ultra wide is not upto Samsung standards'. Meaning what exactly GSM Arena?? Samsung never uses auto focus on their ultra wide angle cameras and detail is always poor compared to say Huawei

And it's not about the price too, since even the Zenfone Max Pro M2 came with GG6 in the front. It's more about choice, scratch vs crack. Any glass will break if dropped from a certain angle. Victus is only available on Note 20 Ultra and that costs a lot. Maybe for phones above $999 you can expect Victus.

I actually find it too thin. A phone is easier to hold and feels less like I'm going to drop it / it's going to slip out of my hand if it has a bit more thickness to it. I'll gladly take a thicker phone with a big battery and no camera hump and better grip.

It is like using microUSB or SD 400/600/800 today.
GG5 for sub-$200 phones, GG6 for $201-600 and phones above $600 withnGG6 or Virtus.

Remind me of Tucker 1948 car. Future may be like sentinels from matrix though, time to get used to it. Ultrawide camera is also perfect for calls to get natural fov similar to eye view. This should be like everywhere but is not.
Main cameras for selfie is mostly on foldables, so this is quite premium for selfies.

Same old story: good phone, meh price.
Probably a solid option for selfie freaks and people who can't digest Galaxy S20's Exynos, though.

They deliberately resorted to GG3 for its higher scratch resistance capabilities being on the back while using GG6 on front for better shatter proof experience.

6000 series aluminium is a red herring for me. If I remember correctly the same was responsible for the infamous apple bendgate.

Such a shame about leaving out the headphone jack...at least the ROG 3 has a second port.
Surprised that this thing's battery actually wound up ok at best. Guess the software needs a little more optimizations. Overall, not a bad phone but not for me.

Though GG6 has improved drop resistence over GG3, it's nowhere shatter proof. Also it has higher chance of being scratched, so eventually it will scratch (assuming you keep the phone with camera side below).
