As ppl got too lazy to install apps by themselves as well .. that top 10 that is fake as apple and google collaborating each other.. Even ratings.. By not preinstalling many ppl uses ''baked'' mail app in iphone

Anonymous, 19 Dec 2020He'll if he does and responsible for R&D research ... moreYeah, that means only people from R&D or who work for data security or some geek would understand it. how many percentage of the people fall into this category? maybe 1-2%. rest dont care. what I am trying to say is, data safety is very important but people constantly ignoring it is real and maybe not gonna change in near future.

Huawei Fan Man, 21 Dec 2020Like ask iphone users if they miss google apps ... suddenly... moreAll of them use Google Maps as we know the current state of Apple maps.
Gmail is also standard for Apple users. Same for YouTube.
Infact, the top 10 apps downloaded on Apple Store, 3-4 of them are Google based Apps.

On Android, they don't make the list as they are baked in by default. So they don't end up on the most downloaded list.

I don't think 2020 people are so stupid, they don't know how to install apps themselves😁😁😁 but they do know that Google doesn't have nantphones even though they don't know why google service is so good.
Most people make 10 accounts in a month. They never remember their passwords... Hahaha, ha So why is Google using them to have a chrome viewer because it's google to them? And they don't know how to install YT vanced for those and it's not these phones that want everything on a plate if you're stupid

Youtube vanced is complicated to install?? are u nuts??? U just search YT vanced will result official website u download manager install it and it will install everything for you in minute...

Like ask iphone users if they miss google apps ... suddenly it is fine there are not needed RIIIIGHTT??

Dometalican, 18 Dec 2020This is why we can only hope MicroG succeeds on Authenticat... moreTo trick into passing Safteynet vs functions brings to an user from Safetynet is two different things. Passing safetynet can even be tricked on rooted phone with unlocked boot loader, on that it unlikely MicroG development team will even *try* to to fiddle with SafetyNet.

Anonymous, 18 Dec 2020I really don't see installing apps outside of the apps... moreThe difference is open source vs closed source. Open source code is by nature open to the public and has more chance of someone catching something and reporting it on github/lab etc. Closed source aka random foreign apps could have any sort of malware etc bundled in.

Dude you can find it on ebay for 150.

  • Not huawei fan

Petal Search will give you links to download Facebook, Messenger, and WhatsApp from their respective websites - which means the users will need to update the individual apps themselves. Such bad user experiences even after spending so much money. Totally not worth it!

Mikele, 17 Dec 2020Absolutely he is living in a stone age!! I have P40 Pro an... moreI just wanted to point out that I'm showing facts and not being biased. Look at GSMArena's photo comparison between the Galaxy Note9 and the P40 Pro. I looked into all 3, black/ white, good light, low light and for Huawei having the "better camera" the sample pics sure don't look as good as the Note 9 pics.
I suggest you go and look at them to prove me wrong.
The only thing that I found looked better for the P40 was looking at Abe Lincoln's had on the dollar bill, other than that the P40 is not as clear as the Note 9 at the 12mp scaling (that's the only one I looked at).
Spongebob is sharper, you can read the writing on the side of the colored pencils, the rubber bands are clean looking, the abacus beads are way sharper... Everything else looks better in the Note9 sample pics.
Explain to me why you think the P40 takes better pics based on these samples.

Kris, 18 Dec 2020I Have the Huawei mate 10 pro hands down the best phone I h... morePaying $500 for a phone with a SoC that is essentially 4 generations old is an absolute madness. Who the actual hell would do that when you can get Poco F2 Pro for $50 less?

Anonymous, 17 Dec 2020Not only that, it doesn't matter how wrong Google trie... moreThe problem is, normal customers don't understand complicated things. Even half of the readers of phone websites like gsmarena doesn't understand much. So security isn't a priority to them. They are happy if they have a good camera and long battery life.

A friend of mine who has a PhD in mechanical engeneering once asked me "why should I care about data security? My data is not important."

Gsmarena doesn't touch that part because half of the reader won't understand and rest half are kinda fixated about their notion.
