Anonymous, 04 Aug 2021Between correct colours and warm/yellowish tones, there are... moreSamsung displays have won awards across all categories.
The S21 Ultra display is one of the best.
Xperia display gets outperformed in brightness by budget phones. Even some old phones with Lcd have higher brightness than Xperia 5 III and 1 III.

Most are praising it for its improved camera performance over Xperia 1 III, but you mananged to post a bunch of trollful comments to bait Samsung users.
This website has always detailed what settings to set to get the best colour accuracy for Samsung phones. S21 5G reached dE2000 of 1.3. Stop spreading lies.

If you want to know why Sony has lower brightness than competitors despite all these OLED panels being made by Samsung is because Sony does PWM drivers very different to competitors. They do not use DAC bit depth sensing to attribute frame rate to screen frequency. It is why Sony does not have variable frame rate despite having 120hz technology. it's either off or on.
Sony deliberately does this because it has superior low brightness color accuracy and eliminates banding. It also reduces complexity of the screen panel for greater reliability. That's why you don't hear about Sony going weird green/blue/yellow wash but Samsung phones has so many cases.
And most of all it benefits PWM effects on your eyes in low brightness viewing which is the major flaw with OLED. The Xperia 1 iii is at a comfortable 480hz but the Samsung Ultra S21 and Iphone 12 Max pro are 250hz.

Tann Hauser, 04 Aug 2021https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00246255
... moreThe 1st link explains how iToF sensor helps the camera focus on a subject more accurately,
The 2nd one states iToF sensor works with all of its three cameras,
Finally, the 3rd one describes the difference between the way an iToF sensor and a laser AF sensor work.
Literally none of the pages you linked supports your argument that iToF sensor is used for "multiple focal points processing to achieve miniscule multiple blur effects" in regular shooting modes like you've been saying for this whole time. Actually, did you even try reading them before posting them or are you just throwing me a bunch of random links now hoping that some of them will stick and prove your point somehow? This is getting hopeless, please just stop it already smh.

Tann Hauser, 04 Aug 2021https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00246255
... moreThat statements are about how iToF helping the built in AF to get better performance & faster in low light, the same function as any other phones that using ToF out there. Nothing about mapping some depth of field beyond what a sensor size & fixed aperture lens can do (unless the fake bokeh Portrait Mode). It will be stupid samples such as GSMarena shows here on a flat surface, resulting in lots of corner softness. It helps mapping distance, not treat a flat surface as a round ball.
The problem lies here is that 1iii is the worst, 5iii are better. So are implementation of iToF in Xperia phones degrades quality by softens the whole frame, including the subject its focus to? 🥴
YOU STILL DON'T GET THE POINT of it.

How long are you gonna keep this up?
These baseless madeup claims about different quality lenses on same gen and cam setup devices?
Those have absolutely no logic behind them.

Anonymous, 04 Aug 2021Lower Accuracy by how much?
It's like a a speed diffe... moreBetween correct colours and warm/yellowish tones, there are huge differences.
Even some old phones with LCD can have better results.
- Photos with wrong colours, excess of HDR, bad texture by excess of NR
- low bitrate videos
- low accuracy screen
- slower performance than phones with same cpu , need to factory reset once per year.
Samsung should stop making flagships.

But the lack of brightness will be easily noticeable. Sony simply cutting costs here by providing lower quality screen

Anonymous, 04 Aug 20211III they tested was a preproduction unit for early reviewe... moreNow that excuse is make sense, unlike the one that blaming iToF for the cause.
The weird thing is, same story happens between 1ii & 5ii last year. Gsmarena telephoto samples on 1ii recently doesnt produce any sharper than 5ii, until today (a bit comparison here & there). So they didnt update the firmware on 1ii?
Here 1iii also worst than 5iii, do the firmware update on telephoto come late after 5iii? It is the reason why people questioning about it.
