Sony Xperia 5 III review

Apart from the strange "improvement" on the camera side, -- this phone is what was expected of Sony.
The phone has a *unique* set of features not found on any other phone of this category:
headphone jack + good DAC, microSD slot, good camera, build quality, powerful processor (same in the US and Europe).
If you need them all -- this is essentially your only option.
If you can trade some of them -- there are many other options.

    [deleted post]Nope. Only phones listed here that use Samsung display are S21 and Asusphone which uses some E4 as equal as on A52 5G. Others all use Chinese OLEDs. Not that they are bad displays but crank their brightness up and contrast goes away, you are left of with washed out colors especially with super glare gloss finish of Mi 11. But hey you got your max eyebleeding brightness, yeah image looks like crap at 800nits but brother you got 800 nits! Don't know how you ever lived without it. Or you must have got your first ever phone two years ago,

      I Got mine for 650 Euros, complete with bootloader unlock and EU ROM out of the box.

Legibilty under direct peak equator sunlight at noon is not something that constitutes a good display. You can google what makes a good display. Half of the phones you listed here have washed up displays made by Chinese manufacturers.

                    1. Manual controls and great api2 settings plus Raw makes it top over every snob crap in 2021 that are much more expensive and with bigger sensors and the only BS-ters are the ones never had and reached a pro manual Xperia, with proof!
                    2. Screen have enough settings to make it optimal for any situation and still it's top for a compact and high class device (unique concept).
                    3. Battery is top and its compact size being makes it the lightest in the game of aces.
                    4. Heating is never a problem regarding its processing capabilities and size; it has amazing covers for any market it's in.
                    5. Not in a million years near to any other in time battery life and speed, not to mention when Saladsung's finger printers are having issues and bully their entire system (c'mon Saladsungers & Ximikissers you know it best!).

                    Conclusion (by proof!): XPERIA IS 2021's champ in quality and amazing ideas put in action!

                          They would never be relevant in western markets.

                                You do realise smartphone cam optics are no where near proper cameras, so smartphones rely heavily on additional sensors and software postprocessing to achieve DSLR like effect photos?
                                You are, I hope, aware of fixed appertures on smartphone cameras, so the background blur levels are actually not from actual optics, but Gaussian postprocessing?
                                Why are additional cam sensors used in smartphones?
                                Why are ToF depth sensors added on smartphones, and not on DSLR cameras?

                                  has better display
                                  Doesn't throttle and heat up as much
                                  Is much more compact
                                  Doent have the stupid 21:9 aspect ratio which ruins the compactness
                                  Faster charging too
                                  Is like 300 or 350 euro cheaper
                                  Tho it has worse cameras but is way cheaper

                                  Samsung s21 5g
                                  Has better display
                                  Doesn't throttle
                                  Has faster charging and wireless charging
                                  Better nighttime shots and better ultrawide and better selfie cam
                                  Tho no charger in box and has worse perfomance

                                  Now if u don't care about non compact phone then it gets destroyed

                                  Vivo x60 pro+

                                  Has faster charging
                                  Has better display
                                  Has much better perfomance(doesn't throttle and doesn't heat up and tops benchmark)
                                  Better cameras
                                  Tho no wireless charging ip rating or stereo speakers

                                  Axon 30 ultra

                                  Better display
                                  Better camera(ish)
                                  Faster charging
                                  Tho no wireless charging or stereo speaker

                                  Xiaomi mi 11

                                  Better display
                                  Better main camera(best detail out of any phone)
                                  Faster charging and wireless charging
                                  Tho very very bad battery life either way adn heats up even if it doesn't throttle
