i am just interested on faster operation...
not that android 10 and 11 are slow...
but any improvement is welcome...
not sure if im gonna like xperia 1 ii getting all ui components since it is stockish...
at least, an option to make the ui components smaller...

Finally a scrolling screenshot? Hahaahahshah even miui 12 with android 10 or 11 still have more feature and cooler than that.

it's always ugly 👎👎

I like the way Android 12 looks now including that "abomination Qs tiles" according to others. Definitely an improvement over the boring look stock Android always had.

HopeFilledIdiot, 04 Oct 2021Both Third Party Appstores and sideloading apps are now bot... moreAlready some 3rd party stores like apkpure support the installation of bundled apps so it's a matter of time that other app stores start adopting it and you can also use split apk installer to install any apks file.

Lyrienne, 04 Oct 2021Ehh... As the author(s?) said... it's a "love it ... moreThere's a toggle to turn off this automatic colour picking so you can choose your favourite accent colour.

A lot here are not liking the new designs...

Boomers ig?

Only 1 question.

Has the option to remove the "At a Glance" and "Google Search bar" from the home screen given this time?

It has been hard-coded since Pie.

Feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks.

GAMIRSFM, 04 Oct 2021I agree, makes me happy that OneUI won't follow this s... moreAgree. OneUI is becoming increasingly more attractive. New Android design language seems made by 3 years old kind from kindergarten nearby. Don't like it! Simplified design doesn't necessarily should look silly, Google!

Imagine even the reviewer is using a Pixel 4XL to run the Android 12 instead of the watered down Pixel 5 that shows a lot. Can't wait for the Pixel 6 to have almost the same performance as the Snapdragon 855 in Pixel 4.

I don't care about any of the good features of Android 12 because those quick settings are an abomination.

Who asked for this? Not actual Android users. This is a "Google thing" that the rest of us have to deal with now. It was created by and for them.

HopeFilledIdiot, 04 Oct 2021Oh you're right! Google focused so much on Privacy and... moreBoth Third Party Appstores and sideloading apps are now both dead unless some third party appstores find a workaround for this. I remember reading one store working out a workaround but I haven't really followed on that.

The flexibility of Android is slowing being killed off. Like IOS and it's sideloading nightmare.

Lyrienne, 04 Oct 2021Ehh... As the author(s?) said... it's a "love it ... moreOh you're right! Google focused so much on Privacy and "Material You" so as to remove attention from the fact that .apks are now obselete.

Scooped Storage with Android 11 and the death of .Apk with Android 12, Android is now becoming a far cry from the convenient to use android it's been all these years.

I understand the many many positives of .aab I really do but I still believe the simplicity of unified .apk was much better.

holy shit it's ugly the new look!!!

Like others suggested, I suspect Google made massive changes to the UI because it finally made changes to the hardware. It wants more market share. Personally, I don't like the new look. I'll continue to enjoy ColorOS/OOS on my Nord 2 and will run LineageOS v11 on my 4a 5G to avoid Android 12.
