Not even Find X series has more popularity than Z Fold.
Imagine another foldable that costs 50% more than regular oppo flagship.

It is very beautiful and unique. Only the clamshell phone is great.
The Oppo user interface is professional and visually awesome.

Definitely pretty. Much prefer the size to either Samsung option. The first foldable I'd consider buying - if it were available outside China...

Anonymous, 15 Dec 2021I think rollables are the future mainstream thing but those... moreMoney is no object to me. If I really wanted, I would've bought Fold3 any time. But unlike candybar form factor that is refined to perfection and only screens are main fragile point, foldables have plenty of issues to deal with. And I don't like the "chunk" on them. They need to drop to 12-13 mm thickness

Too bad brands focus more on this form factor than clamshell.
These ones are too heavy.

Anonymous, 15 Dec 2021Huawei and Oppo have solved the crease and gap issues that ... moreSamsung is not struggling with a gap issue.
They're in no hurry to change their hinge because they have to squeeze every cent of value out of the existing hinge.
Same reason they haven't added flagship-grade cameras to the foldables. They have the tech but will rather drip-feed upgrades.
I'm not remotely interested in a non-Samsung foldable. The OneUI on the Fold is best-in-class and everything revolves around usage for me. These cheap wannabe clones are primarily designed to drive adoption. I have no qualms with them, they're just not for me.

Would you agree the teardrop hinge leaves a more subtle crease?

Anonymous, 15 Dec 2021Yikes, no thanks. Talk about fail. Try again, Oppo.Statements like this are boring. No nuance, to start a productive conversation. Voice your concerns rather than just complaining.
