A heavily downgraded chinese phone again.
They (Shamesong, PineApple and all chinese brands) want to erase 3.5mm and SD from the world for their favour but they forget Sony, The True King.
That brave company still pushing hard market to the right way.
Gives still a chance to who wants keep data private and dont want to share with companies and government and also who doesnt want to get brainc cancer with that True Worthless Craps.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2022Please realme, make GT 2 pro variant with MediaTek 9000. Mediatek, lmfaooooooo

More like S888+ at 12watts off pure brutal power and torque, instead off 5watts Mediatek weak power efficiency petrol diesel saving scheme. Lmfaoooooooo.

Willow1625, 07 Mar 2022What weird logic is this? I could ask the same thing, where... more" 3.5 mm jacks make it difficult to give phones their IP68 rating"
I guess Sammy hadn't received this memo when they made S5-S10 (and their Note equivalents), it's only with S20, they realised how difficult it was.
Oh and also maybe inform Asus and Sony that they are doing it wrong with their Zenfone8, 1 & 5 II/III (the Sony's have tool-less SIM+microSD slot no less, so surely they aren't IP rated, maybe they faked it right??)
God how gullible the avurage conzoomer is!!🤦🏻‍♂️

I agree with you microSD argument to some extent though, but the convenience of having a (media) backup ready to go in case the phone/mobo gets bricked is very real.
But if they want to omit that, what stops them from at least providing USB 3.1?? Surely that doesn't lead to space or IP constraints??

Viper Fighter X, 04 Mar 2022Realme is pushing away it's "DNA". Just anot... moreWhat weird logic is this? I could ask the same thing, where are all these features in S22 series, OnePlus 10 series, Oppo Find X series, IQOO 9 Series, Xiaomi 12 series, Pixel phones and Vivo X series? But I won't ask that because each of these phones put more than enough memory to not require an SD card anymore. How much music would you even keep in your phone? 5 GB? 10 GB Max (and that's stretching it)? That wouldn't even dent these phones' storage. 3.5 mm jacks make it difficult to give phones their IP68 rating. And stereo speakers mostly sound balanced unless you're covering up the bottom one. They are only doing that in the review to check the quality of the top speaker. In daily life, they will sound balanced.

I would suggest you come out of 2010s and step into the 2020s, it's high time. I keep music tracks on my phone for offline listening too, but I haven't required an SD card since my Xperia E phone years back. 128/256 GB is more than enough for your music, apps, pictures and games. Today's flagships combine performance, camera tech, convenience and media consumption to create an entire experience. They aim to pack the usage of gadgets like PCs, gaming consoles, audio devices, TV sets and video streaming systems all into one device, and the Realme phone here is doing nothing less than that, along with other flagships.

You misspelled Google. Samsung is a laughing stock in terms of software support.

Nickname optional, 05 Mar 2022Yes you are right regarding the updates. Xiaomi and Realme ... moreIt's a "strategy" to force customer to buy a new phone every 2-3 years with ending software support, they do that on purpose. Yeah, Samsung flagship is definitely the best when it comes to software support terms nowadays. Xiaomi offers similar 3 year starting 11T but doubtful it will be as good as Samsung. Their monthly updates always lags behind, like January patch comes at end of February. And they always, always, prioritize Chinese model on top of Global, EEA, or other regions. Pixel is too limited on sales.

Are they being blackmailed that they'll be Huawei'd if they use their own dialers?

Lack of regular updates to the latest version is definitely a serious negetive point. other branded mobile bought an year earlier to my realme mobile still provide update. Moreover the call recording feature in realme is a mess, may be under certain justification by the company. However I may have to think more than twice to buy a realme mobile again.

Loru, 05 Mar 2022I was very happy with RealMe X2 Pro, it was a great device.... moreYes you are right regarding the updates. Xiaomi and Realme phones usually don't get more than 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security updates (flagship models). Nowadays customers want more than that, especially when companies are asking premium prices.
But this happened because Samsung surprised everyone with their announcement regarding software updates. They are beating even Google now in longevity of software support.
So yeah, for 600+€ prices, Samsung or Google are definitely better. But for sub 500€ prices, Xiaomi or Realme usually offer more than the competition. Of course, they will be a maximum 2 years phone.

No wireless charging is not a big minus, especially when you can take advantage of that super fast charging through cable.
But lack of IP rating is really not good at this price point. Especially when Samsung started to put it even in mid-range phones.
Anyway, a great phone and I like that they finally made the cameras flagship levels.
Probably in 6 months, when the price will be lower, could be a good buy. Now, at 750€ looks quite expensive for a Realme phone.

There is still a lot missing for the flagship (ip-rating, wireless charging, telephoto, etc.). A flagship with a 60 Hz lock in games? That is a waste. The microscope camera is just a gimmick and probably only interesting for the first 2 days.

the battery life is weird. The smartphone achieves good rates when not interacting with the display (3g talk time, video playback). When you actively use the smartphone (web browsing), the smartphone achieves much worse rates than the competition (considering the huge 5000 mAh battery). This is probably due to the aggressive battery management?

I hope there will soon be a review of the regular GT 2, which has enough power, the same update guarantee, a large battery and the same good main camera. You probably get more for the money with the regular GT 2.

I was very happy with RealMe X2 Pro, it was a great device. But since then they have increased the prices by a lot, X2 Pro 8/128 cost 449€ and was exactly at the level of this GT2 Pro (it also had the telephoto sensor).
But, although monthly updates always arrived, the major updates were always very late and in the end, exactly two years after its release it was abandoned by RealMe. No more security patch updates. A device with the Snapdragon 855+.
This was shameful. For this reason I will never buy a RealMe again, I don't care, even if they promise 3 major updates. Never again.
I am now using an S22. And I will have 5 years of upgrades. RealMe's can make sense at 400 euros, after that there are better choices. There are the Pixels and there are the Samsungs, which beat them on almost everything.
