I honestly don't understand reviewer's opinions to be honest. I myself have the Galaxy S20fe.. and i honestly would still recommend someone get the new A53. Why is there SO MUCH emphasis on Samsung going in-house and not using Snapdragon?!.. basically if you area gamer.. Yes.. consider the A52s the better chip.. But really neither are "gaming phones" ANYWAY. the silly emphasis on the CPU/GPU which are basically just a TINY bit less than the A52s.. my main point is that anybody should consider starting at Android 12 and going ALL THE WAY to Android 16 means this is a WAY better option hands down. The 64mp cam from the samples produces totally fantastic 4x (and higher) zoom shots too.. i would never ever tell anyone get the S20fe over this just based on the simple fact that 4 whole Android updates is AMAZING and the s20fe finishes at 13. This goes to 16! No brainer!👍

[deleted post]So, let me guess, you want to give good reviews only to Xiaomi and Realme phones? Just because they have some nice spec sheet.
Too long this site comment section was full of Xiaomi tox*c fanboys, who spread only disinformation and were praising Xiaomi phones. When the reality was totally different, once you actually start using some of those phones, not just read some spec sheets.
At least now, it's becoming more of a normal place in here. Not just a place where everybody was hating Apple, Sony and Samsung phones. Or in other words, a chinese phones loving comment section. Lol.
Of course, not all Xiaomi or Realme phones are bad. Some of them are actually pretty nice. But praising each one of them at infinite, without taking into consideration other aspects of the phone than spec sheets, well.. it's kind of d*mb.

Anonymous, 13 Apr 2022Yup, this is supposed to be a direct replacement of the A52... moreThis phone is priced similar to A52s so its natural to expect it to perform atleast similarly if not better than A52s. but This phone is a inferior to A52s in every department.

This phone is basically an overpriced A52 that it reaches dangerously close to upper mid tier/low tier flagship territory with its low midrange performance.

This is definately not a good sign.
If A53 is that much expensive than imagine price of A53s.

Anonymous, 14 Apr 2022This or a note 10 pro?If you will have them both in hand, you can immediately tell that the Note 10 Pro is the more premium device.
Depends how much time you want to keep your phone. Note 10 Pro, may be the more premium device, but it will receive software updates for 1, probably 2 years, that's it.

In my case, I would go for the Note 10 Pro, because I don't keep my phones for that long. Also, depends in what condition you can find the Note 10 Pro and if it's from a reliable source, that will give you warranty too (something like a smartphone second hand store).

But, if you really want a second hand Samsung phone, I will suggest S20+. Even if it has worse battery life than the Note 10 Pro, it has better display with 120Hz refresh rate. Once you experience 120Hz refresh rate, you can never go back to 60Hz.
And unless you use your phone all the time or for gaming, I think the S20+ is a better value for money. In my country you can pick one up for about 380EUR. A Note 10 Pro is usually 450EUR. Also, you will not use the stylus that much, trust me. Maybe just in the first period, then you will forget that you have it.

Pralea, 14 Apr 2022So, no charger, no jack, camera not the best in the class, ... moreReality can be whatever these big companies want.
crApple are not bad but way overrated, Xiaomi sells you good phones but lack enough optimisation for the endless models and the list goes on.
But, I'd rather get my money's worth of hardware then flash a custom rom, so Xiaomi is my choice.

Anonymous, 14 Apr 2022This or a note 10 pro?Anything with a "Note" title automatically wins.

"Samsung has been maintaining a particularly strong Galaxy A series of devices for some time now. It has been iterating and improving its value proposition on these phones, and the new 2022 refresh is no different."
No sir IT IS VERY DIFFERENT they messed up big time!

Kind of hi res that is the best enjoyed as low res.

Just like the saying says "don't fix what is not broken"

Anonymous, 14 Apr 2022A53 is 20:9 , while S22 is wider ratio. Ok, so why can't or rather won't Samsung use a sharper panel for that ratio?

FatShady, 14 Apr 2022no one would disagree if its price was like 300$, but its 4... moreIt's already 370€ in Germany but that's still a lot too much when the A52s is 280€ and the S20 FE 5G is 410€

Galaxy A series from Samsung looks very nice. I even had an A72 at some point for short time. But for me is one thing that differentiate them from S series, and that is Samsung Dex. I could never use a Samsung phone without Samsung Dex anymore. Especially when I have a 34" 4k monitor connected to it. That experience only, will make me always buy S series phones from Samsung. Even if it will be 1-2 years old generations.

So, no charger, no jack, camera not the best in the class, and the chipset is still underpowered. And phone is still pricey. And yet it still has a 4 star review...

Glad I choose A52s as this is a downgrade rather than upgrade. I hope Samsung doesn't get too many sales from A53 otherwise they will use crappy SoC next year as well.

higher and higher from A50 which is only €349/$300 back in the days. Slower CPU, bad camera, slow charger, quite speaker, no radio, 3.5mm and charger that's great from samsung.

Red777, 14 Apr 2022I dont get why other people said that thia phone should rec... moreI can see why some people feel that way. Mainly because the A53 doesn't have notable improvement over the A52s. Camera performance also not a big jump from last year.

In fact, the A53 is a downgrade in some areas like performance, battery efficiency and the omission of charger and 3.5mm jack. Only good thing going for the A53 is the promised 4 years OS update.

                                      Should be priced 300$.
