Same ugly design like the past Sony Xperia devices, when are they even gonna come up with a new design? The front with that camera looks hideous just like every other Sony device.

I need a compact 65 or 64 wide like the xz1 compact or ideally the x compact, COMPACT please, the 5 iii is not compact at 680 mm, too big and phones must be brick square like the x compact not rounded sides

Oh cause it has 3.5mm or certain little completely inexpensive touches besides 4k its top of the line and its price is justified? Even thigh is behind in most things. Like matching the brightness of 7 year old flagships? And not being on par in speakers, battery, or camera either.
And they even flat out lied and said the brightness increased 50%.... but it only increased 30 nits. That's littrtally only like 5%.

This phone does so many things right, even ditching the idiotic corner cutouts that have become endemic, but it's too damn expensive. Take this phone, put in a Dimensity 9000, scale back the cameras, price it around $800, and it would take the market by storm.

Why on earth can't just one phone manufacturer realize that the combination of a strong processor, an sd slot, a headphone jack, and a somewhat reasonable price would sell let hot cakes. Yes, it's a niche, but it's a niche that's utterly unserved... and even for customers where these features aren't super important, they're still nice to have.

Here i am contemplating dropping $1500 on a phone, and yet there's a Galaxy S10 in my pocket that cost a third of the price 3 years ago, and there's literally nothing wrong with it.
WHY do I come to this site?

Hi, all, can someone look up or find what is the highest image resolution in 16:9 ratio, that this phone can take? Thank you.

Pixel does a great job evening out harsh lights and maintains realistic exposure during the day, and blown-out highlights are literally nothing but "natural" LMFAO. If the camera sees blue in the sky then it must have some degree of blue colour in it, and in that case white sky would be a totally unrealistic rendition of the reality.

"I always wondered where HDR people of today were back in 2003 when exposure stacking and HDR tone mapping was a thing and trending in photography"
Fun fact - Sony's dedicated cameras have had HDR JPEG shooting mode since a decade ago.
Another interesting fact - the Xperia camera app automatically activates HDR in auto mode whenever required, just like what happens on Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo, and Samsung cameras.

The only unreal thing about the Night Mode is that the team at Sony are still unable to implement it. Night samples are really pretty useless, this is not how your eye would see the scenes, and it's as simple as that.

1400 euro for a phone without charger, of course everybody at least 1 charger at home but does it give companies right to remove charger.

But yeah, as long as people remain imbecile, they keep buying while saying thanks.
They must also remove phone from the box and say this
"You have already phone, sooo keep paying us you morons!"

I'm sure people will gladly pay and defend it at everywhere :D

Its dialed down slightly but by no meaningful difference. And if you want to do tone mapping and multi exposures you can do that with any device. Blown exposure is not natural. Plus you can turn hdr off.
If I'm going to edit my photos I want the data to still be there and I can dial back sharpening if need be. Or ill use raw. Which Sony has zero advantage there either.

Have you seen photos of a sand from S21/22 Ultra? It gives you headache as it tries to faux contour every sand particle there is. It's disgusting. Also there is nothing wrong with blown out highlights in the sky on a super bright noon, it's much more natural that way than Pixel trying to guess paint the blown out sky blue and it's pretty super tacky if there are branches in the image which then suffer from ghosting. Pure HDR puke a la 2003. I always wondered where HDR people of today were back in 2003 when exposure stacking and HDR tone mapping was a thing and trending in photography. Suddenly almost 20 years later you get bunch of people giving you lectures about HDR by confusing it with dynamic range.

Same thing applies to Samsung because that's being going on for years now. I still vividly remember to this day when I unboxed brand new iPhone 7 used it for few hours and then updated it with x.x1 incremental update and it immediately slowed down noticeably.

The other major problem after Sony's update policy it's the problem of all android manufacturers it's the latest 8 gen 1 chip it's a big scam!! Problem with the battery because of the heating caused by the chip when it is requested, the iPhone is ahead of several generations!!!
