A 5.9' 1080p screen doesnt require as much power like the bigger flagships with 6.8' 1440p resolution.
Thats why the Xperia 5 III had almost similar overall results even with the more power hungry snap888.

That is an okay deal comparing to the one in Poland (we were to get diffrent chromebook worth 250-300€ in the bundle). Its worth adding that PL preorder prices raised 250€ comparing ZenFone 8 to ZenFone 9 so it doesnt look free at all.
The question is who buys flagship phone and needs low specs chromebook that has less or the same storage as the smartphone its bundled with? Looks like unwanted chromebook discard attempt.

Anonymous, 31 Jul 2022iPhone 13/13 Mini has decent battery though.But its worse compare to s22, if s22 has worse battery life so is 13 mini, doesnt make sense to diss s22 because it has bad battery life then recomend 13 mini which is worse than s22.

I am a bit confused. You say that "it's missing more advanced adaptive refresh rate functionality" yet when you test the battery you say that id gets "15h of web browsing (at a variable 120Hz-60Hz)."
So does it automatically change the refreshrate depending on what you're doing like scrolling at 120hz and it automatically switching to 60hz when you turn on a 60fps yt video or not?

I like the option of choise in size, but I just give money to manufacturer who goes with the hole in the display when they flips did not have any holes

They could have improved the display, or atleast increased to 3 years of updates. Overall it's a better phone in comparison to Zenfone 8, but not good enough upgrade for existing Zenfone 8 users. Maybe if next one uses a bezelless display and offers atleast 3 years of upgrades, I'll consider upgrading. It was fine when this costed $600 but now it costs same as s22 (though only in some markets, in others the price difference is $250-$300). $300 difference is enough to forgive shorter update support and slightly larger chin.

You must be using a car and not public transit. Otherwise, you'd see people stupidly juggling one hand to switch from holding a passenger handlebar/strap to assisting their other hand typing on the phone. And that's just one case lmao.

Its ridiculous you guys are suggesting the S22 is a 'good' alternative when it has terrible battery life, no 3.5mm jack and overall it was considered a pricy handset from Samsung for what it was.
Same goes for the Xiaomi and saying 'the 5MP macro camera is a nice add to the mix' when we all know macro cameras are a scam.
The only solid alternative is the iPhone 13 and its mini counterpart. And maybe last year's Zenfone 8.

Now introduced in Sweden, the 8/256 version is sold for €874 (8990 SEK), but then the Zenbook 9 is bundled with the Chromebook CM3000DVA-HT0030 for free! (Campaign until August 14) That on it's own is worth some €470. That is a really good value, if you also have need for the Chromebook.

In display readers suck so much, especially if they dont have ultrasonic tech and are optical.

Anonymous, 31 Jul 2022did not see xperia 5 iii as an alternative... though it is... moreDont buy the Pixel 6a, it is not a good choice right now, Google has been struggling to keep a well rounded software experience on their flagships like the 6 and the 6 pro this year already so it is hard to believe that it is liable to change for the 6a too. Also the 6a has gotten some hare for its choppy display feom MKBHD. I would rather suggest you stick with the zenfone or xperia or just go for other brands in 6a's segment.
