[deleted post]He is a fan of Apple products, but he's not wrong with this one. FaceID is superior to all other face detection solutions. You can't compare FaceID which also detects actual contour of the face and also works in dark where Android phones all use 2D face unlocking which uses just selfie camera. It has ZERO depth information and they are all absolutely useless in dark. Only exception is Huawei, but I'm not sure if they still use their dot projection face unlocking. Also they aren't very relevant anymore on global market.

    Apple need to erase punch holes and islands in front...put 120 or more Watts in the charging speed
    with USB Type -C and put chargers in the box ...put cameras 50 or 64 megapixels with 1 inch or more sensors... periscope câmeras 10x optical zoom... CPUs with 8 cores and 12 Gigs Ram ... Open source,...5000 Milamperes battery.... without increase the price and then I will buy an iPhone 15 Pro Max or iPhone 16 Pro Max

      [deleted post]Maybe you are right, this phone is for people who are crazy in their productivities, not only using a phone for chatting, taking photos, doing social medias.

        The optics and sensor used in the main camera module are outstanding. Hands down the best image quality I've seen on an iPhone. The ultrawide is also very good but the 12 MP is just a limitation, you can see muddled details at 100% zoom (so don't zoom it).

        Pro Max's Battery is also excellent. The Pro version is also promising in compact body but its battery is just handicapped with 86h endurance rating.

        Adding this to my faved devices. 💸💸💸

        (A little bit of context, I hate Apple as company but I do acknowledge great tech when I see one).

Frankly, I'd be fine with it since I don't make any selfies. At all. I'd even consider Acon 40 because of it, but ZTE's software support is so trash I'll rather just have a notch or a punch hole in the end.

Until then, I don't mind the new pill design or even the old notch design. Also most people (not me) care about selfie cams and underdisplay ones are ALL absolutely terrible.

                          Likely due to the fact they said when Face ID was announced how much more secure it was and adding a fingerprint sensor now would just look bad. Also face unlock is often more convenient and works in more conditions, especially now you can use it with a mask on

                            Mediocre? You trying to be funny? Let's just say both face id and ultrasonic fps are fast and secure. But having a punch hole camera (for now,) is way better than a pill shape cut out.

                                Pixel phones used to have a secure version, but they don't anymore and Huawei, but I don't know how relevant they still are now or if they still use it. I think they still do on their Mate models.

Another reason is because Apple takes their sweet time improving new features.
                                  BTW my $400 Android phone has side mounted fingerprint sensor which has superb accuracy and speed.

Don't confuse the non-secure camera-only or IR "face-unlock" gimmick on cheap Chinese phones with the secure face unlock implemented on iPhones and some Pixels. Ignorance is not bliss in this case.
