Anonymous, 13 Oct 2022But biastubers shall say pixel 7 pro is best of 2022. 😂🤣Are you delusional or just ill informed? The Pixel 6 series were the most bashed phones of 2022.

Love to see the modem in this head to head with any phone with the x65 in it.

SnapDragon is the main supplier of Android chipsets and mobile modems. Snap 8+ Gen 1 is not on par as with the A16 but it's one of the fastets chips out there. MediaTek though is gaining the upper hand, in my opinion. MediaTek's Dimensity 9000+ powers the ROG 6D Ultimate, which packs a lot of power.

Its the perfect toy for them to play with, until the next flagships come out in some months where most of them will make a video''' i am switching to ....(insert latest android flagship)''.

Its an improvement compared to last year, but still it is overall way behind the latest Snap 8+gen 1.

Thats what i wrote when they were first announced that performance wise, Tensor is again a letdown. Some people as usual laughed at me.

Well, good thing Gsmarenas synthetic benchmarks confirm what i wrote, especially on gaming performance.

AnonD-546724, 12 Oct 2022Jeez I swear you guys are never happy Any sentence ... moreNo its not.

And there is a reason why not only google but most influencers only promote the Pixels for their photography capabilities than anything else. They dont stand out in any other area at all, maybe except the price(especially on 7).
Even in Software support they are outclassed by Samsung(only 3 years of OS updates).

And obviously there will always be a ''but'' when we talk Google and Pixels.

We saw what happened last year with calls/ slow fingerprint reader(Face unlock removal too)the same time most youtubers praised them, and people bought them later on regretting their purchase.

Oh and of course we dont forget Google removing the charger in the box copying Apple, like with 3.5mm jack.

[deleted post]Sounds like your Pro I really gets around lol!! Re-read your comment there bud.

SD855 is way better than this exynos (one that not even samsung wants to use).

Up to now, both phones got good reviews, google has succeeded this time.

AnonD-546724, 12 Oct 2022Jeez I swear you guys are never happy Any sentence ... moreWell the tensor 1 was supposedly a SD 888 on benchmarks... It just wasn't even close, it was on par with an 855+ or a kirin 990 in real world usage.

If a devices hardware is known to be unstable and inconsistent is acceptable for yourself then awesome, more power to you, but people expect better from the owners of android and devices costing up to $1000/£1000 and are allowed to express and discuss it.

I got rid of my pixel 6 pro because it was frustrating software wise, either lacking in useable software features/shortcuts/dedicated software for their phones or actually less intuitive than a Huawei P40 pro with no Google services, on android while being more buggy software side, then there is serious issues isn't there? Maybe I'm crazy expecting better with a more enjoyable android experience 🤷🤷🤷

By the way, the periscope has still a focal length of 19.0mm. So you only get 1.14x as much reach (in comparison to the 6 Pro) due to the smaller pixel size (1.4 micrometer instead of 1.6 micrometer). You would get more reach if they really used the 48 megapixel mode of the sensor (what they advertised at the presentation), but here I don't really see that this is the case. I have created a crop from a 5x image (the last 0.5x-30x example) and have upscaled + sharpened it and it looks nearly identical to a crop from the 10x image. It will be interesting how the raw files are. It would be crazy if they simply upscaled the raw files.

That's the problem. Machine learning can produce artifacts that are not noticeable, unless you compare it with a reference. So you think that the details are true and they actually are not true. Even in good light conditions, there are often areas with dark shadows, so the issue may exist even in good light conditions.

Anonymous, 12 Oct 2022Your feeling is wrong. See m.youtube.com/watch?v=Hs63a-klQq... moreThanks for the link. This is an extreme low light situation where you would never want to use the 48MP mode to begin with, and it's most likely that the significant amount of noise and noise reduction are already destroying the details into oblivion before you would start caring about any potential artifacts produced. The current 48MP mode on iPhone really is reserved for good to moderate low light scenes since you can't combine night mode with it.

ISO 25600 is the upper ISO limit that I use for my dedicated camera and usually I decrease the shutter speed before it reaches anywhere near as high as this, because the results will be almost unsalvageable even if I apply a ML-powered noise reduction to the images on a desktop. What's shown in the video is an edge case and wouldn't be noticeable in real life.
