mawlki, 28 Nov 2022Altough CPU's are overrated here in the opinion sectio... moreKind of understandable that this phone is for the business professionals. More or less the Android version of Nokia 515 but it came out in a time where you could buy a quad core Android for the same price

Moki, 29 Nov 2022So it has an Amoled screen and only scores 93 hours ??? Wh... moreAmoleds eat more battey then LCDs, no matter what people say and think. The only operating systems that did justice to amoled was MeeGo and Windows phone. As they were proper black OSs. Android and IOS use dark mode and dark mode is not black therefore full panel is always on for the time of use, therefore eating more battery then IPS LCDs. I would take a high quality IPS LCD with nokia pure black tech any day over amoled, but well, ignorance of the mass talks and hmd needs to sell.

Another dissapointing review, if one can call it a review. More like a redundend spec-sheet exposure with some benchmarks on-top. This series should be called "paper-specs/benchmarks viewing and price pointing". Well it suits the "fans" here. Anyways, the camera software of x30 is about a Month old and yes, it does need some improvements, the small problems you guys mentioned are also clearly a software problem that can be fixed with an update. While not only failing to mention that, you also prefered to label it as if there is nothing to be done thats it, instead of talking about how some software tweaks can make color accuracy better, or how this and that can easily be fixed with the comming updates. The software is also why you encounter strange behaviour between ultra wide and main. Using pro mode in daylight will deliver better shots then most of the phones in this price range, if not all. The device has SD695, not the Champion of CPUs, but you forget to talk about user experience, daily performance and software stability. Benchmarks do not tell the story, especially when the phones that is compared to, are full of bloatware and adware, except the pixel 6a and sony 10 IV. Also except this two devices, the rest of the pack is getting compared to, most people that are here for nokia ( of corse, not the usual trolls) would not even consider as worth to be mentioned because of the obvious reasons. So why pushing them down the readers eyes with every "review"? The only direct competitor on the market right now, to nokia, would be the pixel, sony, fairphone, motorola and probably nothing phone 1 (even tough the brand has yet to prove itself), samsung is out because of the bloatware and all other gibberish brands have no place at this level. Especially when they are here just because of paper-specs, while nothing else is taken in consideration. Sad, one would expect proper reviews from a site with a lot of history like GSMarena, but well, talking a lot while saying nothing is the new trend.

What is the point of the Amoled screen then ?
My 200 $ Realme 9 Pro has 140 hours endurance with it's Lcd screen. Flies like a beast. And does everything this phone those except taking quality pictures.
I also have option for SD card too.

HMD should've lost this license years ago.

This device and everything they released so far is an insult to Nokia's legacy.

Without that legendary name to stamp on the back of their generic trash they'd be long gone.

I disagree with the "no stereo speakers" point, and I think it's nonsense to be honest.

Stereo speakers on a phone is really just a sales gimmick, you will never get a believable stereo experience with speakers separated by just a couple of inches.

This review claims the Samsung A53 doesn't have a micro SD slot. But it definitely does

Also a "Pro" for the Nokia X30 is "feel-good environmental pledge"??? Hahaha. Give me a break 😂😂

If they cared about the environment they'd make a better phone that was good enough to last at least 3 years, and they'd make it easier to repair or at least replace the battery

All i like about this, is that it's not a Samsung, Apple, Google or BBK phone
Everything else considered, it's really not arousing any interest

Should've... moreAltough CPU's are overrated here in the opinion section (the newest high end CPU's are almost holy) got to say SD695 looks very $200,- phone and a SD778G would certainly help in everyday operation.

I thought the team at gsmarena would be the first to notice the IR blaster on the X30 which only seems to be used for face unlock in low light.

If you wake the screen in low light or darkness look at the camera privacy indicator in the top right of the display, it is illuminated differently. It explains why the X30 is very reliable at face unlock in the dark.

Nokia still Alive? I wonder why they Didn't merge with any Chinese company like oppo , Xiaomi vivo etc for better presentation.. as they failed in market with poor products now after their failed return

Nice spec sheet and a fair price and on top of that a very decent size, not absurdly sized like a near 7 inch phablet.
Gonna buy it around Christmas to replace my ancient Samsung galaxy J5.
