    The main camera samples confirm my assumption that an RGBW 64MP sensor can resolve a comparable amount of details to a regular Bayer 64MP sensor, at least in terms of luma resolution - The balcony pattern is rendered perfectly without any sign of moire or false colour, which is impressive.

    I'm inclined to think that RGBW CFA is the future for smartphone camera sensors. No visible colour resolution loss in binning mode, comparable colour reproduction to the output from a sensor with Bayer/Quad Bayer CFA, improved noise performance in low light and more accurate detail rendition in full resolution mode.. The non-Pro Vivo X80 had one as well, and the results were equally promising.

    It's time for manufacturers to find out if a type 1 RGBW sensor would be a viable option for their flagship smartphones or not.

      There was no need for the bump to take this amount of space considering the hardware inside it.
