In my opinion nobody should buy this phone now. It costs 1,300 euro. If you are willing to spend €1,300 on this then I think you should at least wait for the Xiaomi 13 ultra. This phone has a weaker zoom camera and ultrawide than the current competition. Two jn1 sensors after all (these would cost no more than €10 each). The Xiaomi 13 ultra will have a better ultrawide, better 3x zoom, an optical 10x zoom (all larger Sony sensors). Also rumored to come with a C2 ISP and two choices for aperture for the main lens. This will be released very soon in China. Why not wait a month or two to see what it brings if you are a Xiaomi fan before opting for this Xiaomi 13 pro. You may even get the 13 pro a bit cheaper if you end up going for it anyway after 2/3 months. If you're willing to spend this much you may as well add another €200-300 for the ultra and get the best Xiaomi offering. They will also optimise theor more expensive models better

Even Samsung phones are well-known to suffer from defective display with line/dots and dead motherboard. Some issues like those on Samsung foldables are not even claimable under warranty because Samsung will find ways to deny responsibility.

Brilliantly done. I guess the collaboration with Leica paid off (with price hikes of course on the lens tech/ image algorithm/ branding 😂). And of course, a proper macro lens using telephoto! Love the Leica Authentic look. If only they put an option to disable those vignette. Seriously, the UW & telephoto lens are using a very small sensor yet produce nice images.
Would I replace my aging Huawei P40? Nahhhh pass, I'll wait for Xiaomi 14 maybe. 🤪

potato4k, 27 Feb 2023You do. Go ahead, buy this $1000 Xiaomi. :P
Society have c... moreIf Oppo won't be releasing their new flagship in my country then there's a good chance that I will buy this phone to replace my aging P30 because it does seem very attractive to my eyes all things considered. If I ever cared about whatever the pathetic "status" that a phone brand gives me, I would've painted my secondary phone for work (iPhone 13 Pro) with 18K gold paint and put it in a transparent case so that everyone would be able to see it.
I'm not being a tech enthusiast to boast about how much money I have.. I'm afraid I'm too old for that kind of stuff.

Golden reviewer dont count resolution thats why his chart is flawed.
You can check notebookcheck review this 13 pro
-this phone use only 6W under load
-in geekbench it use 6W to 7W under load, for comparison Vivo x90 pro+ use up to 11W
-in Gfxbench same story this phone around 7W while Vivo close to 10W
-this phone score full 100% in Benchmarks even stress one vivo failed to do that.
So it doesnt make sense both have sd 8 gen 2 but one use like way less power and score more.

SpiritWolf, 27 Feb 2023I agree to disagree. Those camera samples are good for soci... moreI don't think there are many modern phones that render details just as naturally as this one, especially when talking about their main cameras. Sharpening halo is almost non-existent and it doesn't seem to go overboard with noise reduction, either.
X90 Pro is definitely comparable but somewhat falls behind in the studio comparison, and other flagships such as Find X5 Pro, S23 Ultra and Xperia 1 IV don't really come close all things considered. If you think the samples presented in this article are lacking details, then I guess you're simply not satisfied with the 12MP resolution of phone cameras, and not necessarily hating the processing itself.

You need a portrait photographer comparison too , as it had large 1 inch sensor , It manages to produce natural blurs like the dslr .
