why the 50mp mode is bad? the mi11 ultra and mi12s ultra have sharp 50mp modes that rival 48mp iPhone 14 pro max, and both 13 pro and 12s ultra have the same sensor, is it because of the glass element? or is the Xiaomi camera processing bad? another disappointment from Xiaomi

Also, recent Samsung phones are well known to have inferior cooling system than their competitors.

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2023Review done 11 days ago. Delta RGB = 1 Delta grayscal... moreIt seems that low flicker frequency isn't really an issue on this panel because it follows the oscillation pattern that is unique to DC-dimming capable panels, meaning that the flicker itself has much less drastic "up" and "down" in terms of brightness therefore noticeable to human eyes. It exhibits exactly the same pattern as the display on Honor Magic4 Pro, which Notebookcheck explains in its review:

"While the Magic4 Pro suffers from screen flickering like all other OLEDs, Honor promises a DC dimming mode with a frequency of 1920 Hz for noticeably reduced eyestrain. In our measurements, this manifests as a steady cycle with a consistent frequency that matches the refresh rate."

This also matches what is shown in their article regarding DC dimming and PWM:
                https://www.notebookcheck.net/Analysis-DC-Dimming-vs-PWM-Can-you-dim-AMOLED-displays-without-the-flickering.423121.0.html

And while the display brightness uniformity could've been a bit better, it still achieved 94% brightness uniformity, and 80 nits of brightness difference across corners wouldn't be noticeable when the entire panel shines on your face at above 1200 nits.

It seems the Leica partnership is paying off pretty well. Leica Vibrant seems to have matured a lot compared to 12s ultra. I still prefer authentic, but Vibrant seems to have lot less artifacts than before.
The stabilization on the telephoto also seems excellent. Going 1/10ish on longer focal length is risky, but the photos are acceptable for that shutter speed. I think if someone has steady hands or use some kind of support, the image quality would be very rewarding.

I think the symmetrical flat bezels of the 13 looks much better than the Pro imo

I am waiting Indonesia price, since Europe is always expensive. It's one of the best flagship 2023 (if in Indonesia is cheaper).. if this phone doesn't have IP rating I am sure people complaint that.. but here people search and said the bad..

The Xiaomi 12 Pro in Indonesia is €744 which is much cheaper than Europe's €1000. S23U is €1240 here.

My primary concern with Xiaomi is with the long-term performance of Xiaomi phones, as the company has a reputation for selling defective products.
For instance, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra model had a defective WiFi chip, which now prevents me from using WiFi on my phone. What's phone without a WiFi.
While I considered repairing it, the cost of repair was prohibitively high, amounting to 61% of the original phone price.
Unfortunately, this issue occurred just after my warranty expired. I have heard from others that they faced similar issues with their Xiaomi phones, and were also dissatisfied with the company's service support.

Wow, so nice it can score more than overclocked s23u for geekbench.

You know what would be nice? If chinese phones stop dropping frame rates during video recording to try to last longer.
If I set 4K@60, I want 4K@60 the whole time and not 4K@45 after few minutes like op10 pro, 12s ultra and x80 pro do.

Seriuosly gsmarena believes this can fully charge after 30 min using Qi charging 50W, when not even wired 50W would do it?

Notebookcheck has reviewed few chinese phones of 2023, despite using ufs4.0 they are showing slow speeds compared to their previous generations with ufs3.1 ...

Sounds like cheap domestic to me. Instead of using from better suppliers like Samsung, Hynix, Micron, Toshiba etc ..
