Anonymous, 11 May 2023actually if you compare the price between the Ultra and Pro... moreTrue. The 13 pro was overpriced but actually has certain things that are more expensive. For example, the ceramic back versus plastic back on the Ultra. Also faster charging and probably a slightly more expensive screen (it is a bit more expensive according to the replacement cost on Xiaomi's website anyway). The global price difference will likely be €100-€200s though. I think they went with this Chinese price to match the Find x6 pro which was launched a few weeks before.

The price difference isn't as much as what most people expected.

jiyen235, 10 May 2023Lmao so an Ultra phone doesn't even have a proper self... moreHow much different are you from those still shouting about no headphone jack, no SD card, ultra fast charging.. etc on flagship? Just get over it, no phone will be best at every thing.

The cooling, charging, rear cams, battery, speakers and performance all are top notch. Shame that they messed up the front cam. It would've truly dethroned the S23 Ultra if the front cam was better

MUI is FULL of unremovable bloatware and system apps come with video ads , this is unacceptable for this price range.

Not a big fan of this cost-cutting trend of plastic (or rubber) backs on these high end flagships. I think the high quality materials is one of the distinguishing features of a flagship but this year many flagships are cheaping out with this rubber/plastic (whichever it is). Probably saves them shelling out for Victus glass protection. It's kinda strange that they gave the much more more premium build and brighter screen to the 13 pro rather than the Ultra

jiyen235, 10 May 2023never justify taking out features. Especially for flagship ... moreIm not saying they should take out feature, im saying it is not a significant concern for most people. You get a phone that gives you what you need most rather than a phone that have every single features that you don't need. If you need 4k selfie, look elsewhere, there are plenty of choices. But if you value the rear camera with good consistent performance across various focal, than 13U is a promising candidate. And if you need a camera that provide good 10x+, S23U is the choice. Its as simple as that, not all phone will provide every single features.

Dude this is a camera phone and a huge flaw of it is one of its cameras? that sucksss. Also, idk about you but most people don't get cameraphones nor do they care about 4k recording in general, should they take it out then? See what happens when you think about most people and cater to them whilst making a product for niche audiences?

Most people use it for video call which is barely 720p. It is stressed out by so many reviewer simply because they are the core group that requires 4k selfie.

If your priority is photo, 13U offer one of the best combined package. The main lens is is definitely in the top while the tele and ultrawide is one of the better (not the best). 13U is able to maintain more consistent result across the focal range compared to compeititors. But as a whole phone, S23U is ahead especially if you need the pen.

Absolutely beautiful device. This device + pixel experience would definitely be much better than my pixel 7 pro, but unfortunately its not available in the US

Aierlan, 08 May 2023I'd suggest just reading the review and ignoring the o... moreYou just spoke my thoughts lmao, like if you read the S23 Ultra review it's clear that the reviewer is a samsung fanboy or loves the S23 Ultra way more than it deserves (objectively). If you read the 13 Ultra review the same can be said, the review is so detailed that it feels like either the other reviewers are slacking or this one spent way too much time. I'm all for detailed reviews actually but the conclusion felt way too forgiving for a flagship cameraphone.
Wish the Oppo and Vivo flagships were available globally to add competition. Xiaomi's just gonna grow at this point and get lazier like Samsung one day.

SMYasir, 08 May 2023It's just that good Xiaomi's ultrawide cams are wider than others but others have better quality. Also their video is a bit lackluster sometimes I'd say. Their telephoto lens is worse than Oppo's. The best thing about the 13 Ultra imo is the variable aperture, that thing's gonna be a game changer for students lol

walkman8, 07 May 2023The aforementioned phone already had 2 camera updates are you talking about the Xiaomi 13 Ultra? If yes then bro it's just getting released, it NEEDS the day one updates, all phones get them. The phone isn't even global yet iirc, if it is then reviewers didn't get it ig. Anyways, let's see after a month or two how the updates are. The Oppo's getting good amounts of updates already and I like that.
