I have top OLED TV, also 13 Pro and also some cameras, but i have eyes too. Cams are another league. No, sorry. Its complete another sport. Just learn something about photography dude. Coz if u talking like that u really seems like domeone who know nothing.

Nick Tegrataker, 03 May 2023This is quite depressing if true. They can't just use ... moreI saw a large Chinese reviewer illustrate this. He used the slider to zoom and you could see the switch on the phone screen at 2.6x. Next time I pass a Xiaomi store I'll double check though by putting my finger over the zoom lens at 2.6x to see if it's being used

Aierlan, 02 May 2023The first telephoto is actually a 2.6x telephoto not a 3.2x... moreThis is quite depressing if true. They can't just use the 60mm equivalent lens and slap the "75mm" name on top of it, that would be just a very blatant false advertising. 60mm telephoto module with a type 1/2.5 sensor and F1.8 lens is already very good for a phone and nothing to be ashamed of to begin with - it's really sad that Xiaomi had to pursue hypes and straight up lie to consumer's face in the process, because the rest of the camera hardware is indeed amazing.

Stoon, 29 Apr 2023cons not mentioned : weird sound inside when shaking the phoneThat's the periscope module bud. Sony, Pixel, and Samsung have this shaking noise also. It's normal.

notafanboy, 02 May 2023Yep, watched a review on Youtube that mentioned that. Reall... moreYeah, not sure why. Maybe they just went with the default zooms and didn't use the slider.

Professional, 29 Apr 2023It's 12th on DXO if you forget the doubles. The 13 Pro... moreHasn't the new Honor Magic 5 Pro now got the highest score now which makes buying 13 ultra pointless unless it's seriously cheaper in Europe when/if it is released

Aierlan, 02 May 2023The first telephoto is actually a 2.6x telephoto not a 3.2x... moreWhy they even bothered to make a 3.2x shortcut? For the portraits? I think that 2.6x is even more perfect for portrait mode

Aierlan, 02 May 2023The first telephoto is actually a 2.6x telephoto not a 3.2x... moreYep, watched a review on Youtube that mentioned that. Really strange that there's no mention about it in GSMarena's review.

The first telephoto is actually a 2.6x telephoto not a 3.2x telephoto. If you zoom you will notice the switch to this lens at 2.6x. The 3.2x must be a crop from this sensor

I read it somewhere, don't know if it is true.

EU ROM hides the bootloader's unlocked state, but yeah idk I'm not spending that cash if I have to deal with workarounds and such. Maybe works now, but tomorrow? Safetynet pass used to work with rooted phones now you need Zygisk and etc...

If there's not, it's a big loss for me because I have been considering buying this from China for a while...

One thing that bothers me so much when buying a Xiaomi is knowing that the chinese version of the software is so much better. I mean, if you're going to pay more than $1000 in a phone, you should have the best version of the software.

Yes you can flash MIUI.eu and have a more feature rich software but that involves bootloader unlocking, and at least in my country (Brazil) that's a bye bye to bank apps and Google Pay

As for the camera photo, some of the pictures are really nice.
On the other side vibrant mode is almost hurting my eyes, maybe on LSD I would perceive the world like this.
The over-processed trees are pain to watch, especially on pictures of snail with the main camera. If the AI can be turned of I would rather see that picture without it.
Tele and UW cameras are bit noisy for their respective ISO settings. I can imagine with higher ISO it just gets worse or the sharpness and colors will be compromised by AI/NR.
Night mode seems to work pretty well in suppressing the overexposed highlights however the overall image quality suffers from it, all the pictures without it are better looking, if you don't mind the highlights too much.
Another year, another tiny upgrades, but still, quite not there yet.

i wish more phones with this much processing horsepower has desktop mode. as of now i am using Samsung Dex and loving it. Motorola also has Ready for. I dont need to have two devices as it performs like a chromebook when connected to a display. But more phone makers should look into this for us desktop mode users to have more choices in the future.
