    All they had to do was keep the same phone and just change the soc to 8g2. UFS 4.0 would have been nice too. The lose of AF in secondary cameras with a price increase to get wireless charging is not a good tradeoff.

      Zenfone 9 = Best Compact Smartphone of 2022
      Zenfone 10 = Meh Compact Smartphone of 2023?

      I mean there are some upgrades like wireless charging, the better chipset and improved software to the cameras, but aside from that, not much has changed, and for some reason, the Zenfone 9 could even be the better choice lol.

      But here's a pattern that I'm seeing, The Zenfone 6 and 7 were completely different design, while the Zenfone 8 Flip is the same as Zenfone 7 with minor upgrades, and the same goes for the Zenfone 10 if compare to 9. I don't know how to feel about this, but this could the last compact smartphone lineup that ASUS is going to make.

        ZenFone10 success hinges on one thing: Can this phone produce sports pics? That is, will it make sharp pics of moving bodies and things?

          I really wish someone with an actual brain would make theese phones, not just marketing rats.
          Either give me a fast USB 3, or SD card so I can transfer my files?
          For this price, it still has less features than s10, I really hate new tech, nothing meaningful came out for such a long time

            Anonymous, 30 Jun 2023How do you not have the Xperia 5 or 10 written down as an a... moreWell, Xperia 5 V is full centimeter taller and Xperia 1 V is full two centimetres taller and asks about 50% more money. Just not as compact as Zenfone. AND they are hard to find in a store.
            In my country, you can get only Xperia 5 IV FOR 950€ (8/128 GB) and the same generation Asus Zenfone 9 (8/128 GB) is 660€. Xpearias are just to expencive to be a real competition.

                I wouldn't say this phone is a bust like a lot people here are overreacting but it's definitely a lame rerelease of an already existing phone. No reason to get this one at all.

Since Xperia 5 V released at €1050 and Zenfone 10 €800 so not a suitable alternative. I also don't know how much 5 V costs now.

                    Please, someone make a compact budget/mid tier phone. I so want this, but I don't need that performance for my daily use and I don't want another 6.5+" brick that mid tier is all made of.

                                  [deleted post]A headphone jack also allows one to use external Mics like Rode's VideoMic Me while using a gimbal. Some gimbals blocks the bottom so a 3.5mm at the top is useful. No build in Mics can be anywhere near as good as that.

                                        Seems Asus learned to moonwalk. First it is their motherboards (there's some controversy going on with updates leading to hardware issues ) and now zen lineup phones.
