Seems Asus learned to moonwalk. First it is their motherboards (there's some controversy going on with updates leading to hardware issues ) and now zen lineup phones.

I mean, that's great I guess, but I really couldn't care any less for this phone. Now if only they could review the Pixel Fold this quickly...

Disapointing to see that Asus did nt manage too get more batterylife out of this phone ifen the Xperia 5IV has better batterylife and guess the upcomming Xperia 5V will easyoutperform this on the Xperia 5V is anyway the best alternative .

[deleted post]Ah, yes... the "futurist" would say that wireless is the way to go.
Headphone jack is about choice. I have great wired headphone, and with headphone jack, if I want to use my headphone, I can. And I don't need to think about battery percentage of my headset.

sorry but after reading the whole review...my enthusiasm has fallen. no slow-mo and brightness display below average...not too good. the main feature is the gimbal though.

What s up bois, zf9 user here.
I like the back print wording on 9 more than 10. but they eventually fade away. Better not to print anything on the back except the logo.
Cheers.

[deleted post]Speak for yourself. I used to be in the wireless audio bandwagon before I got myself an LG V50. Since I started playing with its Quad DAC audio, I don't even miss going back wireless. In fact, I sold all of my wireless audio gear and now going wired only. I totally not regretting the whole thing ever.

While there are noticeable improvement for the battery's call and video test, I expect the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC to give much longer endurance rating than 8+ Gen 1. If the Zenfone 9 use Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, then the new Zenfone 10 is easily a worthy upgrade. However, 8+ Gen 1 itself is already a worthy upgrade over 8 Gen 1 in the first place, so I'm not entirely sure about getting the Zenfone 10.

Smatphone de baixa qualidade. Asus usa a fama das motherboard para vender celular, mas são brinquedos de plástico ruim.

Weird that the standby performance has reduced by 20 percent compared to 9. Isn't the SD8 gen 2 supposed to be better there

Based on the changes, I'd just opt for the Zenfone 9. They cut corners on some of the hardware and the biggest hardware benefits are wireless charging and SD8gen2. No thanks, not worth the cost increase.

Add wireless charger and remove the AF on 2 of the 3 cameras. D!ck move if you ask me.
If they had went with 1 SIM + mSD card (many people want it back) + 1 eSIM, i5 lt would have made sense.
ASUS marketing is tacking the annoying track.

"The 120Hz mode will maintain the nominal refresh rate when you interact with the phone but will switch down to 60Hz when idling. If you're under a certain brightness threshold, there will be no downswitching, regardless of battery mode."
This is the problem. Why not just downswitch in regardless of brightness? Refresh rate behaviour is very poor in ZenFones. There's nothing automatic about auto mode, it just drops to 60hz in every app, i.e. when not in SystemUI. Whereas, in auto mode, we expect it to drop 60hz when not interacting and shoot upto 90hz/120hz when a touch is detected. Asus UI is developed by incompetent people and is plagued with bugs here and there that aren't found even in cheap Pocophones.
