Sony Xperia 5 V review

This needs a different perspective: in most other phones the amount of memory is fixed and not expandable.
The Sony Xperia, on the other hand, can easily get a memory expansion for cheap: You can add a micro sd card at 512 GB for just around 40 bucks - something neither apples, samsung or asus phones offer.
One question though: was the throttling behavior improved over the notorious xperia IV line?

I disagree with that. I dislike the sony phones form factor.
I think height is the most important aspect of compactness.
I would rather have 73mm wide and 146mm tall phone, than 154mm tall and 68mm wide.

Also, what about software support, any changes on that front?

      Hmmm, a bit less zoom but with excellent cams and exmor T tho, extremely good battery life of 130hr, better sound, and for some 50 € less....
      Would I even miss the 2.5x zoom cam for this 2x zoom?

      Would be better if they kept the telephoto and ditched the wide cam IMO...


      Still pricy, but not a bad proposition. Not bad at all.

      Not needing a new one, but considering the next years itteration of this.

I'm not the kind of guy who always redownloads files from cloud storage, especially when my place has terrible internet coverage in the first place. So, a microSD card slot is always helpful to use all my offline files in seconds the moment I put it in.

A photography YouTuber named Kai W can even get four hours of continuous 4K video without the phone ever getting hot*. It only got shut down because of the low battery.

My friend even sold his Z Fold4 for his Xperia 1 v, and he's not missing his old Samsung.

      Battery endurance rating of 130 hours? That is dead impressive! Not even last year's 5 Mk4 came close to it. What impressed me even more is that the score is only one to two hours behind both ASUS ROG Phone 7/7 Ultimate and ZTE nubia Red Magic 8 Pro/8S Pro, which have a bigger 6000mAh battery. I know Sony always cares about long-term battery life, and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC proved to be an efficient beast, but this is in a completely different league!

      This left me with a dilemma as I already looked at the Xperia 1 Mk5 as my next new phone. But I can't ignore this phone's absurdly crazy battery performance.

      Or media that uses this ratio.

      Since to you 21:9 is not usual.

        16 + 24mm cams ✅
        12MP at 48mm like iphone ✅
        Same price as previous gen ✅
        At least 130h battery test ✅

        I am always right ...

        By the way, moto g54 may be announced today or in the next days.
        6000mAh + dimensity 7020.

But you can go in its review and see the photos - that is the reason we always shoot (if possible) under similar lighting conditions and the same scenes - so you can cross review compare photos.
