That performance is terrible for a flagship but everything else is fine by me

    Don't know what the fuss is about, what's wrong with 83 hours battery?? I'd be pleased if my battery lasted 83 hours off charger. And benchmarks who cares about them

      Pixel 8 has larger battery and smaller screen compared to 6 and 7. Still did worse.

          I prefer Dolby Vision and iPhone has that. However, 120hz is a sweet deal.

                Next Pixel phone should not come with buds or pixel watch as a gift. Instead google should give a diesel generator

                  Oh no the batery endurance! after 3 generations of Tensor chips google are leading the industry for the worst efficiency in the smartphone world.
                  I guess I'm sticking with the my 6a or I might ditch google for Samsung or Xiaomi.

                        Google has shrunk the size to save on material costs and boost profit margins, nothing else.

                            Battery life is really disappointing. Seems like Google didn't care any about battery life and just prioritized camera performance.

                              The battery life is horrible for 4,500mAh. Even iPhone 15 has a better battery life..
                              The new chipset seems not so much improved, it looks even worse than Pixel 6.

                                Some phones with 888 and 8g1 had much higher endurance.
                                Problem is crap chip,not fab.

                                      PanRT, 24 Oct 2023Tensor G3 Is made by Samsung, Pixel need TSMC.still, you would hope that it isn't WORSE. Samsung 4nm should still be better than Samsung 5nm, and the A715/510 is better than A78/55

                                        I think I'll stick with my 6a. The battery life is still better than the 8. I'll be more likely to upgrade once Google ditches Tensor.
