To be fair, comparing it to the price of the chinese phones is difficult because they will always be cheaper or offer slightly better performance for the cost. For me though I don't want chinese due to the dictatorship and aggressive policies of China and the fact that they are always a spying risk and shady on business practices when it comes to price dumping and trying to kill the competition. That said the A54 is a great phone for regular people and it beats being an uninformed consumer that just pays towards the eventual downslide of the industry if Chinese companies ran the show. Reminds me of drug addicts that know their money fuels drug gangs that kill and rape people but they don't care as long as they get their drugs.

It's so much pricier than a Poco F5 but not that much better in terms of camera. Not even considering that the base F5 has 256GB base storage while tha pricier A54 only has 128GB.

IDK how Samsung justifies their SoC of choice with the A54, midrange doesn't have to be mediocre in performance but the A54 just made mediocrity on a higher pricepoint. And the sad part is that the fans are even proud of it.

I have this pho... moreAs someone who had 2018 Galaxy A7 as the previous phone (3 hours from 0-100!), I'm pretty happy with the charging speed on the A54.
I don't like the idea of charging speed being too fast, it's just my personal preference.

I just bought an A54 and returned it. I may have had a faulty unit but it would stutter and delay while scrolling all over one-ui and in any app.
Also - I could have lived with this - but it also has poor viewing angles. A slight view off-angle would produce an blue cast.
My A33 does not have these problems (Actually it was a downgrade from my A33 in every way - except battery life...)

I've used this phone for 7 months now and the thing I love about this phone is the display,long lasting battefy and the camera quality since it's really great. Apart from that, the downside is this phone is the Exynos chipset. I've played Drive Zone Online for just 7 minutes and it's heating up while on a VERY LOW graphic. I've also experienced a serious problem with this phone which it just close the game and my home screen reset itself while discord with my friends. I suggest using this phone for light usage only since it can't run heavy game that well (so to speak).

What I don't like with this phone, is,it's unwritten thing to buy a case for ease of use and hitting issues unlike my previous A52s, lag, I don't disagree though not pronounced, auto refresh rate in mine is better than fixed, ultrawide camera has no flash which makes use in dark unreliable

I have this phone for about 9 months now, NEVER had any lag or choppiness at all, not the fastest phone yeah but never had any lag or stuttering, and the fingerprint is also great, never had any issue.
My only complain is their notification system, the display not light up if there is notification, its only a pop-up notif in top bar of display, its stupid, this is more like samsung software issue, i'm not aware of this because this is my first samsung phone, if samsung not ever change this, maybe i'll try another brand for my next phone.
Also the charging time, only 25W, soooo slowwww like 1-hour-ish to get to 100%

This review is just hating A54 for having Exynos. It is expected to lag, so they just forced to say it lags. Been using this phone for 4 months and not once did I notice lagging or apps not responding. I'm on 256GB ROM & 8GB RAM. Sometimes I leave apps on recents and continue where I left off the following day in the afternoon. The review is like when a Ronaldo fan is seeing Messi performing, but they still hate just because theyrnot a fan.

Doesnt sound like an opinion to me. Sounds more like these 3 things are what he personally preferred therefore we all should just accept it and stop arguing.

Import taxes are so high that Samsung is the budget brand in Brazil since they are assembling the phones locally and producing most of the components like the SoC, display and nand storage.

Android15, 06 Dec 2023should i go for this or must i wait for the pixel 8 a .... Depends, do you want an SD card or not? Also, do you want updates on a regular basis or whenever your cell provider wants you to have them? For me, the SD card need was my deciding factor (see my anonymous post below).
