Overpriced device with surprisingly awful camera! The day samples are among the worst I have seen in a while, including mid rangers!!

I agree. The new sensor is underwhelming. It doesn't stand out. I am more & more inclining towards lens, lens coating, and ISP that ultimately determines image quality.
All sensors seem to produce the same image quality for ordinary lenses, but on smartphones with Leica, Zeiss lenses, the image quality seems to be superior?

In European Amazon, there is only one version atm.
Xiaomi 14 12/512gb for 1100euro.
I saw on Amazon Italy in particular, Xiaomi 14 + Watch 2 pro for this price, i guess as a pre order bonus.

A quite tempting thousand dollar flagship if what one's searching for is a small form factor a relief from the 6'8 NBA behemoths we're getting accustomed to,but the flagship that most appeals to me is the one plus 12 for its price to performance ratio

Then phones with midrange chips scoring over 98%.
Silly geeks buy chips that give much inferior battery endurance and have issues with heat, all this because silly pay to win games.
There is no need to use more than quad A720 + quad A520 combo.
The X cores are huge 💩.

You do realize the 13 that came inbetween was by far the best phone out there in terms of thermals and throttling? Insanely stable. This has some trouble, but it looks like an update can fix the CPU throttling seen here to something that doesn't go up and down as much.

Never Xiaomi. I have Xiaomi 13 still with november 2023 security patch. It is unacceptable in this price category. Even my older Motorola received January 2024 security patch. :D

Worse max brightness than Xiaomi 13 is very disappointing, with terrible sustained performance, despite the impressive Antutu score.
The battery life is very good, the main camera is superior to Galaxy S24 and the 4major OS Updates is a good increase from last years 3 upgrades from Xiaomi 13.
It is also positive that it starts with 256gb base storage and not 128gb(UFS 3.1)like Galaxy S24.
Hardware wise it is better than Galaxy S24(expecially Exynos in Europe), but Miui is a dealbreaker at this price for people like me.
And for the same price, most people will go for Iphone 15 pro.

I have a Xiaomi 13 and it is absolutely amazing, I'm however more amazed by how much they managed to improve on just 1 generation, I dont really understand the nay sayers in the comments, mostly seems bias or ''had 1 bad Xiaomi so it all sucks'' but yeah they've really improved a lot and it shows again and again.
