If a phone with a 4500mah and 5500mah last similarity long due to chipset efficiency, the 4500mah phone will win in a year in battery life as it ages much slower, because the chipset isn't damaging the battery as much from it's heat.

I still have a 2006 sony Ericsson, it's battery capacity is still around 70% after 18 Years, just because the phone doesn't heat up.

My 2012 Sony Xperia is also still at around 90%, meanwhile the 2012 Galaxy S3 after 30 Minutes: Dead.

For that reason I give the most weight when buying a phone to it's chipset efficiency and how much it heats. An 20000mah cell will still be dead in 5 Years if the thing has an 8gen1 (not+) inside.

Anonymous, 17 Apr 2024Motorola has mediocre software thanks to MyUX and also has ... moreMost boring UI? Their UI is stock with plenty of useful features and customization options. Most boring designs? They are the only company which is trying to do something different as opposed everyone else doing the same old boring glass and metal sandwiches (looking at you, Samesung and Apple). Pricing I guess depends more on the market, but at least here in India their prices are far more competitive than Samsung.

Pumpino, 17 Apr 2024I certainly get superior photos with BSG's Gcam on my ... moreI think there are options for finetuning the colors deep in the settings. Some gcam ports also allow applying LUTs to photos.

Unlike Nokia, Motorola still exists and has been doing well recently. Sure, they don't have anything to compete with Samsung's and Apple's overpriced flagship phones, but they are not targeting that market. Motorola has been all about the midrange market and they've been doing exceptionally well there. And in that market, Motorola completely destroys Samsung.

The only setting I change is to enable AWB. Colours are slightly too contrasty with it enabled, but they're washed out with it disabled. The quality is good, though due to the colours, I prefer photos taken with my Pixel 6a.

Anonymous, 16 Apr 2024Put samsung logo on it and many here would pay €900Motorola doesn't have a good reputation of providing software updates timely unlike Samsung. For €900 one can buy a S24 or S24 plus better than this in almost every aspect

Motowhat, 16 Apr 2024How is motorola still alive?Probably due to the brand's nostalgic reputation, just like Nokia. Motorola and Nokia are dead, but fans can't let them go.

Anonymous, 17 Apr 2024Pixel: too many software issues and some hardware issues ... moreMotorola has mediocre software thanks to MyUX and also has the worst software support in the industry, mediocre cameras, boring designs, ridiculous prices, etc. Are you trying to imply that Motorola has the same quality as Apple? In the United States, Motorola has less than 5 percent market share.

Motowhat, 16 Apr 2024How is motorola still alive?By making phones of good taste.

Also, Motorola remains as one of the few smartphone brands in the US/Canada aside from the big three (Apple, Samsung, Pixel).

I believe that most of the bad image quality is due to Moto's image processing.

You should be able to get much different and better results with a gcam port. I mean, it's mainly just bad color rendition.

Maybe next time they should also do a co-partnership with a major camera/lens manufacturer.

Pantone Validated Skins? Nope... Makes you look like Thanos? Sure things.

After a plethora of video reviews in India over the controversial usage of the UFS storage (2.2 as opposed to a more desirable 3.1), some claiming that Motorola has tuned the storage to be at par with UFS 3.1, it was bit surprising to see even GSMArena mention that their tests resulted in speeds indicative of the faster 3.1 storage type. @GSMArena, is it possible that the company is using better storage on higher variants (since you seem to have the top-end model) and lower one on the base models?

Context: All Indian reviewers who got review units from Motorola say they found faster speeds. Some reviewers who bought the device on their own (presumably the base model) reported speeds in line with UFS 2.2

4500 mAh wtf. Hell no even if you want to show your phone charges for 18min hell NO in 2024. This phone was almost perfect 5500 mAh is the standard for 2024, I wouldn't mind 40min of charging with a larger battery 🔋 capacity.

Moto you almost came close to producing a perfect smartphone. I'll pass...

Jon8652, 16 Apr 2024Why would anyone get this over a Xiaomi, Pixel or Samsung? ... morePixel: too many software issues and some hardware issues

Samsung: cheap looking, slower than other because of oneUI, exynos, isocell camera

Xiaomi: laggy UI iOS wanna, too high SAR , too thick cam bump, overheating issues ( some flagship models with same motherboard death like LG G3)

Not even iphones have these issues

Why would anyone get this over a Xiaomi, Pixel or Samsung? Pixel takes better photos, while the S23 and Xiaomi 13T Pro both have better performance and similar cams for cheaper price

delivers excellent value here in india well done Moto

The photos are overly saturated. The greens in the outdoor shots and the yellow tinge in the snail shot look artificial. I was hoping this generation would see an improvement in processing. I guess not.

700€ in europe? Lol it costs half of that in India.
This should be like 400-450€ max in Europe.
