A few of the Chinese reviewers have standardized battery tests and whilst not class leading it seems to be on par with other 2k screen flagships with 6,000mAh batteries. It's doing slightly better in most tests than the Chinese Xiaomi 15 ultra which has a 6000mAh battery in the rankings I've seen. Seems to be the same display (except for the lack of curves) as the Oneplus 13 though so it's likely not the most efficient display

But w... moreThere's still time to tix this, tbh it is pre-release sw and I see it having absolutely amazing highlights but very rarely (if nothing I see less blur on human subjects when compared to other ultras), I think it's the fact that they halved shutter speed in some scenarios so the algorithms are not yet 100% there - at least RAW works unlike on fx7u haha

        as for Samsung fanboys here, remember that your hardware is in 2021 and that your OneUi is at iOS 11 level, just keep that one in mind.

        I agree it should be a bit more bb but the speed they're pushing those iOS-level updates (animations, ui/ux) samsung people can only admire.

            Well based on the tests throttles less than the s25ultra and around the same results as the the oneplus 13so I think it isn't bad as it's mentioned in the review

                yes some devices outlast samsungs 25 and s24 series but they should by about 2 hours considering they have a 20 percent bigger battery.

                if not they need to work on their optimisation, dont forget the s25 cpu runs slightly faster than the cpu in these other devices

                  Seems the battery life is that terrible. As I saw China tech reviewers test the battery, and it's remains the same battery percentage as the S25 Ultra after 5 hours of tests.

                      But would not if same comment was about samsung, apple, sony , asus, Motorola or htc

                        Sadly the detail processing in Auto Mode is worse than in Oppo Find x7 Ultra, more artificial, especially in long zoom. Hopefully it will be better after updates.

                        What is lacking in this review, is comparison between Oppo Find x7 Ultra and Oppo Find X8 Ultra, also photos made in Master Mode which is great.

                        Gsmarena gives us at least photo comparison between Find X8 Ultra and Vivo x200 Ultra when it comes out.

                          I think it's largely due to Chinese ROM, Oxygen and global COS perform way better than this..

                          on FX7U I get mf 5.5h SoT so I might even "upgrade" purely because of that 💀 Once I managed to debloat it and get literally 10-11h but some things weren't so stable so I had to factory reset and start again..

                                Mi 15u and s25u with less battery put better numbers.
                                Worse results compared to xiaomi is beyond ridiculous

                                  David 040882, 18 Apr 2025Mate, I see you literally everywhere hating on all smartpho... moreI was only expecting they fix their issues over Find X7 Ultra. Which they haven't. Highlights are even more overblown in this release, I've compared the same photo samples here (FX8U vs 15U vs X200P vs 7 RSR (lol)) and OPPO still heavily removes the texture from night images. 25MP mode has less details than 12MP one which is everything but true on my Find X7 Ultra. This review however is pretty limited as the pics are basic but on Weibo blind tests you'll see why.

                                  I'm not saying it's impossible they'll fix all of this with a few OTAs but it's highly unlikely if it wasn't fixed coming from FX7U (highlights they will fix, but the question is at which level will they be).

                                  I'm not impressed by the cameras and speakers (look at the curve and loudness) but I still think Find X8 Ultra is the best Ultra anyone can buy due to other facts (OS and overall hardware it's the most balanced phone out there)

                                  They definitely overshot calling it a "night god" because it loses to even X200P when it comes to night, heck even 15U has more details and looks less artificial at places.

                                  P.s. although I'm extremely satisfied that both device thickness and camera bump were actually reduced coming from the fx7u and compared to 15U and X200U it's 2x better. The design is peak albeit uneven bezels.

                                  btw if you're wondering if I've actually compared all of those Chinese ultras myself - if you ever bought one, you got it from me (:

                                    You'll understand why I'm disappointed, they fixed basically nothing coming from Find X7 Ultra which I own.

                                      Deserves a 4.6 rating at least

And while I won't dispute your opinions because well, these are your opinions, I'm curious, are you a photographer or invested in photography in any way? I mean you must be, given how you mostly talk about the negatives of a phone's cameras.
