It seems funny,
I got this phone 7 months back.
I never heard about it earlier.Dont know how did I invest my money on this phone.
As day by day passed on I started loving it.
Nice GPRS Speed,
Sensitive touch,
Huge speed...
Screen scrolls like waving air...
True, sharp nd amaging display.
watch videos on YouTube without buffering...
Lots of applications available at Samsung web.
Its my luck thats why I got such a nice phone.
I never saw anybode who saw my phone and did not admired it.
Go for it and I bet
You will fall in love with it.

Another question: does anyone know if this phone supports letters with accents in SMSs and emails, i.e. things like ü, ä, ë, é and so on? If so, how do you access them?

This phone is a monster in every aspect - perfect display, with crispy, bright and colorful image, a very sensitive touch display, excellent Bada OS and many app in Samsung App Store.
But the most incredible feature on this phone are the Audio Player and Video Player.
The audio player rocks ´coz has an EXCELLENT audio quality. I´m not using the original earbuds, ´coz they are very poor and distorts bass sounds as well. I am using a Sony´s one, which is much better than the Samsung´s one.
Deep (I said: DEEP) and perfect bass - they are all there: powerful, intense, perfect BASS! They are solid, really. Mid and trebles are VERY GOOD, no distortion, simply perfect.
Audio player has the most common features, you can use in vertical or horizontal modes, both are very good with great UI.
The video player is perfect: supports a lot of codecs (DiVX too) and plays HD videos perfectly, smoothly with no lags at all.
The body and cover rear (including battery cover) are made with metal. Very solid, though.
Câmera has autofocus with a LOT of features, caputures HD videos @ 30 FPS.

I found on a website(can't remember address) that picsel document editor commercial version can run on wave. Search on web and find out. (Coz I haven't got my handset yet).

Good day all,
I need some advice help as im unable to find logoff mode on my wave facebook application. Does anyone have idea how can i logoff and sign with new user id on facebook.
Another is i cant find the front camera function to take self potrait picture. Does this phone only have rear camera? have a nice day ahead...cheers!

Hey guys, I'm an audiophile and love to hear music, with deep bass ofcourse. Would someone from Wavers can through some light on this aspect of Wave? How is the sound quality through headphones? What is the BASS response?

hi,
my friend has the wave ,i used it it works very good,but i wonna know couple of things b4 i buy it
there is 1 minor issue,when playing 1.6 gb 720p file there were a little lag.
is this because the video file is so big ,i played other 720p videos but they were non above 300 mb.
does the wave get the 1.2 update? and if so whats the new things and solved problems in it?

Samsung wave s8500 is the best phone I've had and I've had plenty. It's fun, easy to use, colorful, durable, fits into my hand, it's great. I wouldn't change it for anything. Oh, and Bada is absolutely amazing. I'm just a little bit disappointed with the os updates - there are none available at the moment. Hope that will change soon. And even if it doesn't - Wave is still my no.1 phone and the best device I ever owned.

Bought the phone and I can say that unfortunately the review turned out to be a little bit biased and even not correct. It didn't mention that the phone actually lacks HSUPA and even HSDPA max speed is category 6 (3.6 MBit/s). That's very bad in a phone that has n wifi and bluetooth 3.0. Also no mention about volume buttons being extremely hard to push. And headphone max volume is ridiculously low (speaker is ok,so is earpiece volume).Screen has great contrast but at the expence of innacurate and unnatural color reproduction. Otherwise the phone is really great,at least hardware wise.Still have to sell it now because of really disappointing mobile data rates.

the next generation wave has only bigger screen, but it is not the super amoled scratch-proof screen....it will be just lcd and i think it doesn't have the scratch-proof glass screen.
remains to be seen....
